Knockem dead doolally well not literally cos i suspect that wouldnt get you the job! :rotfl:
We all have to make choices to suit our circumstances. I am happy for the cs to make a profit but i am working full time and bank balance is more plentiful than time. It has taken me a while to recognise this and not feel guilty. So today's 13 are...
    1) thesis returned to colleague. I knew it was in the house somewhere and finally found it yesterday phew so returned today
    2) knickers that fit nobody in the house! Rags
    3) strange bulldog clip shaped like a trumpet CS
    4) thumb piano Cs
    5) junk mail dealt with soon as i'd hung up my coat and changed my boots for my slippers (this habit i think may be a sticker now and saves me so much time in the morning) RC
    6) tesco vouchers sorted and put in safe place, other bits RC
    7) tablecloth CS
    8) broken architrave bin
    9) tatty dictionary RC
    10) instructions for pedometer lost last summer RC
    11) old bank statement shredder
    12) 2004 diary (!) RC
    13) yet another school book - school
    Happy decluttering declutterbugs

  • I haven't done much for a couple of weeks, but had a day off today so made a small (re)start. Only about 20 items chucked, but posted about 6 things I'd sold on ebay over the w/end, so it all helps I guess. I can't believe how well you are all doing. I often like to imagine how many charity shops we've filled with the stuff gotten rid of!
  • Had a couple of days off from decluttering but I still found a couple of bits to get shot of.

    13. Pair of size 14 trousers given to mum (I am an 18)
    14. Broken coat hanger - bin
    15. OOD Morrisons vouchers from before Christmas - recycling

Still plodding on doing hand quilting on hubby's quilt: nearly finished the quilting, then I'll have to put the binding on, sew it down and it'll be finished, nearly 4 years after piecing it together! I will put a picture up, when it's finished, if I can work out how to do it.

Afraid we had a few in today though: one of my dad's friends has gone to live in a nursing home, and dad was asked to clear all the drinks out of his house. So we've come home with: bottle sherry/bottle whisky/bottle Southern Comfort/bottle of sparkling wine/bottle of toffee vodka, and half a dozen cans of beer! However, the toffee vodka will be going out to son-in-law when he picks it up, and the beer will probably be drunk at the weekend. On the plus side, there is room in the garage for it as we were so successful at decluttering our own drinks stash over the past 9 months! Just gives us a few more bottles to have to declutter... probably take a year as we don't drink much!
Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Don't think about it, you know for future.

If you have ever been a slimming world member and have the old books I do believe that they sell extremely well and for a fortune!! Not that I would ever do that because slimming world wouldn't like it.;)

DLD does the same go for the WW packs? I've got one of those that I could declutter........;) Progressing VERY slowly with the GH - have managed to bag up a load of used stamps for a charity & added 3 books to the CS bag.
I did get a bit 'sidetracked' and overhauled my recipe folder 'cos I found a nice lever arch file .......I do get easily sidetracked:o
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

  • Have made more progress tonight, as a friend who is expecting their first child came round and we passed on: 6 grobag sleeping bags, a group 0 car seat and base, and a pram/pushchair combo, all of which we don't need any more and have been cluttering up the place. And gone to a good home. And they've taken some old curtains of ours to see if they'll fit in their new house. I feel lighter already!

I presume so. I think it is the people who just want the information rather than going to a class. Hey its worth a go.
