Hi Fifty,
Sorry I have missed some many of your posts. I have caught up now :j.
I want to say a BIG BIG thank you for my delivery :kisses:.
I haven't touched it yet as I have felt too poorly. but sure it won't last long once I am back to normal. You MUST pm me your paypal address though so I can send you the postage costs....Pleeeese.
You sound like you are doing sooo well, keeping virtually out of your overdraft. I hope to be in that situation soon. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope all the snow has gone and you have the sunshine we have here in Dorset. Makes me almost beleive spring is round the corner.
Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday. xx0 -

Good Morning
Well, I have got to admit to being a bit of a spendy person over the weekend.
I did my massive shop, then filled the car with diesel, then went to maccy d'sToday I have paid all my cc payments, all of them with an extra couple of quid on top, so I don't have to worry about them until next month. So I am back into my od....BUT...according to my spreadsheet, I won't be in it forever and if I am very good will be able to climb out of it again quite soon.
I am at peace with the fact that I am back into the red. I have paid everything, I have a cupboard and freezer fit to burst, I have a car full of fuel and some cash in my purse. So, even though my bank account doesn't look great and I am still in a much better position than I have been for a very long time.
Also, I quite like the challenge of having a goal. It seems to keep me on the straight and narrow
There is nothing much else going on with me at the moment. Work is consuming my lifeStill, hopefully it will be worth it when I get my new pay in the middle of March (25 days to go)
Have a great Tuesday everyoneFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

Good Morning
Well, here I am and I seem to have lost my oomphI don't know where it has disappeared to but I wish it would hurry up and come back
After all that time of being motivated and frugal I just seem to be having to spend money that I don't want to but have to.
Ever wondered if there is someone looking down at you thinking "well she's getting a bit cocky, let's throw a few banana skins in her direction"
I am not going to whitter on feeling sorry for myself. I just need to pull myself together and give myself a shake.

Hi FBF. Please dig your 'Oomph' out, dust it off and put it back on the mantelpiece. I have been a member of this site for several years now but have not posted in ages .... my oomph just keeps running off! I have found your diary and have read it all - it caught my attention because we are the same age (give 2 months) and I am aiming to enter my fifties debt free too. It's a tall order as we have a huge debt that just sits there staring at us while we try to make ends meet every month.
The first thing I aimed for was to be overdraft free and it has been like reading all about me reading your diary!!! It made a huge difference to me to stay in the black each month - a huge incentive to not spend on what is not essential. Your gym membership dilemma is a perfect example of how much more important not being OD every month is and it does feel amazing to be 'in control' of at least one thing.
We have been OD free now for a year and I am starting to make inroads into the debt but agree that it's hard to part with your 'positive bank balance' to make that over payment each month. I'm not quite there yet but am inspired by YOU!
I hope you don't mind me butting in to your diary but I identify with the spreadsheet mania, the inventory listing of the cupboards, the mad Ebaying (free again this weekend btw) and the highs and lows of being OD free. I'd like to work with you to our 50th year so keep going!!!!!
You are doing so well and I too am wishing my life away until it can start again at 50!

Yes oomph needs finding as you are doing so well. I imagine its just taking a break in a corner somewhere, so I suggest you get out that feather duster and retrieve it from its hidey hole.
