    Good Morning :)

Thankfully the snow didn't lie :j and there is not a trace of it anywhere but it is still bloomin' cold. I know I keep bleating on about it, but, where the bleedin' heck is Spring??? I have some brave little snowdrops and primroses in the garden so they must be expecting it soon too.

Well, yesterday didn't go to plan as I had to go out for the afternoon and never got back until late so there is a housework backlog  I got up thinking about all the things I should have done and need to do and I am stressed before I've even started the week. Oh well, I am only one person and can only do one thing at a time.

On a positive note, the ebay sales have picked up again and I have now sold another three things :T They are all for piddly little amounts but I am chuffed to mintballs that I am getting rid of stuff and getting a little bit of cash for them.
The tax credits went into the bank this morning and with 4 days to payday I actually have money in the bank :T Which, talking to people at work last week, seems to be a bit of a rare occurence. I thought it was just me who struggled through the month and had an overdraft that never went away but someone last week was moaning about being in their overdraft and then another person piped up about it and it seemed like I was the only one with cash in the bank :T I did a little bit of bragging :o but purely because I have never been able to before :o I goes to show really, that, everyone is struggling and you are not the only one. Apart from on here, I've never felt that before. Needless to say, I never mentioned my humungous cc debt :o:o

Well, I had better go. The kitchen floor awaits  (washing it that is - not having a little lie down :rotfl:)

Have a great Monday, the way things are going it will soon be Friday :)

  • My goodness, you have the time and energy to wash the kitchen floor before going to work?!I am impressed!

I hope that your second week goes well.

I'm glad the snow has gone.

Ps I think you deserve a bit of bragging!;)

Thank you Marmite, however don't be too impressed. :o I came home from work yesterday, made the tea, tidied up and then promptly fell asleep on the sofa. Woke up at 9.15pm and went to bed. :o I am a lark and have bundles of energy in the morning and then zonk out after about 7 at night. I wish I could find a happy medium.

Well, the news today is that I have a new car. :T Not a new, new car but new to me. After using my DM's since I wrote off my other one she decided dhe wanted it back so her and my lovely DF loaned me the money to buy myself one :) I have set up a re-payment plan with them and it is certainly cheaper than getting a bank loan :) it is all worked into my budget and is affordable (just) so I am a happy bunny. I also managed to pay the insurance for it in one single payment which I am really chuffed with myself about. I have never ever been able to do that before and had to pay it in installments and incur interest.
I have a "pot" for next years insurance so will try to get as much into that as I can, and for the service and MOT etc. I am loving this budgeting carry on. It is making me feel really in control.
The bank balance has dropped significantly as a result though BUT I am still in the black :T If my spreadsheets are anything to go by, I might dip into my o/d by about £100 at the beginning of March :( but only for a couple of days. On the positive side though I still have a couple of weeks to try and claw some of that back through ebay/under spending on my weekly budget etc. I doubt I'll make it all back though. :( I can't be too dismayed by it, if I hadn't been doing so well then it would have been massively worse :)
I collect my car today and the garage has put a full tank of diesel in it and has taxed it for a year so I know I don't have any more expenditure on it for a while :)

Nothing else happening on the MSE :money: front though. I have some ebay sales finishing in the next couple of days which I will transfer straight into my bank to make that predicted o/d look a bit better and only 3 days to pay day :T

    Have a great Tuesday :D

Would you believe that I envy you...I always seem to go to bed later than I mean to.I'm not a fan of having a lie-in though and usually set the alarm even on my days off.

    Great news about the car!

    Good Morning :)

Oh heck, I have not been here for ages :o I just can't seem to get used to this working full time carry on. I have only really lost an hour in the afternoon but it has made my routines all squew wiff  I really must try harder to get something done in the evening instead of collapsing onto the sofa

There isn't anything much happening really though. Although it is PAYDAY today :j I managed a whole month of staying in the black at the bank - woop woop.:T All the major dd's came out this morning and I made a payment to a cc and I still have money left. I must be doing something right :)
I am, however, going to Mr A tomorrow for my shopping. Now that is going to be a challenge. I always spend far more that I want to  I have a cunning plan though :) I have put all my grocery money into my other account and when it is gone, it is gone and we will have to starve :p My weekly budget has turned into a monthly budget and I am going to work out of my "pots" account. We'll see if that works. As long as I still have cash in my grocery pot then I haven't broken a NSD - do you think that is cheating???

Not a thing happening on the ebay front :( No watchers and no sales on anything I have on there :( I guess all the good stuff is gone :( I'm not giving up though, I will continue *throws fist into the air* :rotfl:

Thank goodness it is Friday :T I have a quiet weekend lined up. I need to catch up on my housework and catch up on my feet up on the couch studying :D

    Good Morning :)

Well it is the weekend :j and I am up and at 'em nice and early. :)

Nothing to report on the MSE :money: front though, just doing my usual plodding along.
Will be heading out to get a massive shop later  but I am hoping it will restock all my cupboards and my freezer so I can have another couple of months of frugalness. I will probably have to dip into my overdraft towards the end of the month but I am strangely at peace with that. I have decided that I don't mind using it now and again, I just don't want to live in it constantly :)
As long as the bills are being paid and I am making some kind of headway with the cc debts then all is well. :)

I am off to have a bit plooter (sp? - scottish word :)) with my spreadsheets and "pots" account to see what I can move about. You can't beat a good plooter (plutter/plootter) :rotfl:
