Good Morning
Everyone ready to start another week?
Money paid into my bank account this morning and it is now £178dr on the day before pay daySo I know that I will definitely be in credit with the bank tomorrow :T Is it stupid of me to be ridiculously excited about it?
I know the battle is just beginning and I have to keep it that way but it is such a lovely feeling to know that one of the millstones round my neck is gone. Now to get working on the others
I don't think I will be able to make many over-payments to any of my cc's until I am confident that I can stay in the black but even if it is just pennies, it is better than nothing.
The weather here, remarkably, has got warmer and it is now chucking it down with rain!!! So all that fretting last night came to nothing but thank you all for your positive vibes - you are a lovely lot :A
Nothing happening on the ebay frontI have 6 watchers on something that is finishing today so I wish someone would put a bid in for it
Have a lovely Monday everyone, don't despair - it will soon be Friday againFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

They are not really worth it for only a couple of weeks a year.
The main roads will be gritted tomorrow but the roads getting to the main one won't be. That is where I had my smash last month - getting to the main road. I'll be fine, thanks for thinking bout me
mmmm I've been meaning to have a look around for some - Dinky1: you couldn't actually get winter tyres for  but you can for Dinky 2 (for some reason the automatic has bigger tyres than the manual)
For anyone thinking about it ... they make a huge difference - my parents have them on their car and they've meant they can get out on many days when there would be no way with normal tyres on
They're not just for snow - they make a big difference in stopping in really wet / greasey conditions as well
They can be used when the temp's below 7 deg so (especially in Scotland;)) they can be on from around Oct/Nov time until March anyway
Honestly worth every penny ... in fact, think I'll have to start a new pot to get some for Dinky 2 for next winter(not really worth it now) .... wonder if they sell them cheap in the summer?
Anyway .... raining here too Freeby ..... have a good day!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Hi freeby,
Well I hope that all the snow has been washed away!
And no,it's not at all stupid to be excited not to be overdrawn.I am excited for you,if that makes sense-I know what a delicious feeling it is when you're back in the black!:)
Like you say,it's quite a challenge to stay in the black.I hope that it won't be too onerous for you.
Hope you've had a good start to the week.
rising as a non driver, interesting to learn that snow tyres are so useful.Don't be mad if I'm the inspiration for yet another pot!:o

Good Evening
Be heck it's chilly  but no snow, thank heavens
Just tidied up and got sorted after dinner so now sitting down and having a catch up on the boards
Posted my ebay parcel today and sold two more things so back to the post office again tomorrow. They are not going for very much but I am a little bit richer this evening than I was this morning
Checked out 1000 points on the survey site Global Test Market which is $50 so about £30 I reckon. It takes about 6 weeks to get here but I can wait
Hope everyone has also had a good dayFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Good Morning
Well, I did it :j Wages paid into bank account, all the major bills paid (mortgage, ct, gas, electric etc) and I am in credit - woop woop :j
Now the tricky part - staying that way
I have to have a think about what debt I am going to tackle next - there's so many to choose frombut there won't be any major inroads into them this month until I can find an even balance between paying them off and not using my overdraft ever again. According to my spreadsheet, things will be tight but do-able.
Nothing else to report apart from the bloomin' freezing weather
Hope everyone is staying warm. Have a great dayFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

As you say,now the tricky bit is staying that way...
Just wondering if you have worked an emergency fund into your budget?I've found it a real boon.
Hope you have a good day.:)0 -

mmmmm there may well be another one added at some point- although I guess I could try to add an extra £10 to the car maintenance fund instead ..... will ponder on that one!

marmite - Rest assured there is going to be lots of savings funds on the go when I get organisedI am going to turn into rising with pots for everything. I am quite jealous of all her pots
It is the weirdest thing but actually feel lighterI have a bloomin' cheek considering the amount I have yet to pay off on cc's and the amount in my bank isn't massive, but yet, I feel like one of the weights has gone
Now to get working on the other ones.
It is cold here again tonight but no snowThank heavens. Hope everyone is else is staying nice and warm
