    Good Morning :)

Nothing much to report here this morning, just plucking up the courage to take the dogs out for a walk  No snow here yet but I think it is to arrive today but it is bitterly cold. Still, the dogs don't seem to notice :(

Had a bit of a 'moment' last night when I was thinking about my finances and all the things I really need to do with the house. I might be in credit with the bank at last but I have nothing spare and it felt so depressing :(
I think these moments must come to us all. I tried to find my PMA (positive mental attitude) and delved deep to find some determination that I will get out of this mess I have created  It just won't happen overnight  Every day that I don't spend or sell something else or just do a small positive thing will make a difference one day. I hope.

Something finished on ebay last night that had loads of watchers but didn't sell in the end, why do people do that????? In my head that money was in my bank account :o Some more things finishing today, again with watchers but no bids  But I did list some more stuff and will list some more again today. PMA to the fore :rotfl:

    Have a great day everyone.

Just think about how far you have come so far, you have paid off a £2,500 overdraft in a fairly short space of time. Before long, with the same determination you could have £2,500 credit in your bank instead.

Hope you enjoyed your walk ...... it's really cold here & snowed a bit more overnight & it's all icy - yuk!

Anyway, re the watchers on e*bay - I do it (a lot :o) for several reasons ........ a) if I've got the same thing I will watch someone else's to see how much it goes for (to see if it's worth listing) b) if I want a particular thing, I may watch 20 or so items that are very similar until I decide which one I want / can move onto the next one if the bidding gets higher than I want to pay c) have the intention of bidding nearer the time but then forget :o

Thank you to everyone for the words of encouragement and wisdom

    I will keep plodding :)

Spent the entire day de-cluttering my bedroom. I thought it was clean and tidy until I decided to get rid of stuff. A lot of it will have to wait for the next free listing weekend on ebay and some of it was just fit for the bin. Why on earth I was storing it is beyond me. :o Anyway, I feel like I have achieved something today and have shaken off my low mood. :)
And got myself a sparkly, clean, clutter free bedroom into the bargain :)

No snow here yet but I think it is on it's way and to arrive overnight. We have been so lucky so far compared to everywhere else. I actually feel a bit guilty for not having any :o

Okay, I'm off to obsess over the things that are finishing on ebay tonight :o

Stay warm and safe everyone :)

  • Hi, just flicked through your diary and feel I should subscribe to this thread as I too have determind knickers!
I'm not going to be debt free by fifty sadly as that ship sailed last year. I really admire your energy as I seem to have my procrastinate knickers on at the moment, so I'm hoping you will inspire me to get on with it.
I also have a five month old cocker spaniel so I can be part of your doggy fraternity.
Congrats on being in the black and reducing Mr T's outrageous profits :)
    LBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13 :D

  • Glad you're feeling a bit better.
Well done on the decluttering -it's very therapeutic.:)
I did a lot of decluttering last year.

    Good Morning :)

You are right marmite, de-cluttering is very theraputic. I enjoyed my day yesterday. Loads of silly piddly wee jobs got done too which has made me :)

Thanks for subscribing OBNW, nice to have you here and I am glad we both have knickers for every mood (ohhh that sounds wrong :D) Get those determined ones back on :T

A check of the bank account showed that all is still well and I made another cc payment this morning. I will have been in credit with the bank for a whole week at the end of today :T which is absolutely unheard of. I like to think there is a bank manager somewhere looking at my account and saying "By George, she's got it!!"
Some ebay sales finished last night and here's a funny thing (not funny ha ha but funny peculiar) Two things were to finish, one with 5 watchers and one with 0 watchers. The one with 5 watchers went unsold and the one with 0 watchers sold for twice the asking price :) I can't work ebay out :o Needless to say I am chuffed that something else has gone and thanks to my de-cluttering I have a pile of stuff waiting to take it's place :)
There is still no snow here - which is a good thing but it is bitterly bitterly cold. Here's hoping we are through the worst of it now, surely it can only get warmer??

Another work day awaits, at least I can switch my heating off and use theirs :rotfl:

Have a great Monday everyone, it'll soon be Friday again :)
