  • No chance at all of the DD's helping. They will offer but I will send them off to do their rooms. I am afraid I am a bit OCD about my housework and would only go around behind them doing it 'my way' :o

    That's me down to a T too!:o
  • Famous last words indeed :( It's here and big, fat, lying on the ground flakes too :(

    It's just started here!

Glad we got the "big" walk out the way & I don't need to go out in the car again - we can go up the farmers field to the next village later for our 2nd one.

Getting lighter and turning to rain here now, I think. Thank goodness :)

My kitchen is now gleaming. Gave the floor a proper, down on hands and knees, with a hard brush scrub and cleaned all the plinths, tiles and cupboard doors while I was down there. Is anyone else at the age where they are down on the floor doing one thing and think, now what else can I do while I am down here? Save me getting down again later :rotfl:

One load of washing washed, dried (in the tumble :o) and even ironed. Second load nearly finished.

19 items on ebay, none of them selling but they're on there. Would definitely not sell if they weren't :)

    Not bad for a morning's work :)

  • OMG just looked out and it's really snowing now!

Wouldn't it be just typical that it's been OK the whole time I've been off work and ... now I'm about to go back errrr ..... darn it!

Load of washing just finished (and another 2 still to do!) - I may well have to resort to the TD too as already have dog's towels on the radiators (which I'm going to have to take off as it's bloomin' freezing in here!) ..... arrrrgh!

Well another day and another dollar saved :)

Not a penny spent in the freeby household again today. All the housework is done and I am on the couch with my feet up :)

Made a gorgeous lasagne for dinner tonight and there is enough for left overs for tea tomorrow night.

Something else has sold on ebay so another couple of bob in the coffers and a bit of junk out of the house. 19 things listed on there at the moment so I think that will do for now.

I'm a bit scared of the drive to work tomorrow. It has stopped snowing and it hasn't lain but it is very cold and I am fretting about it freezing and turning into a skating rink :( Oh well, I suppose I'll just have to get on with it, like everyone else :(

Have a lovely, relaxing evening :)

  • freeby this might be a silly question,as here in Switzerland most drivers have snow tyres for winter, but do you have snow tyres?I hope it's not too slippery tomorrow. Will the roads be gritted before you leave for work?I suppose the best thing is to give yourself loads of time.

It's not snowed here yet.I bet it'll snow overnight...:(

Thanks marmite. No snow tyres I'm afraid :o They are not really worth it for only a couple of weeks a year.
The main roads will be gritted tomorrow but the roads getting to the main one won't be. That is where I had my smash last month - getting to the main road. I'll be fine, thanks for thinking bout me :)
