Really pleased booked camber sands for half term in may for 6 people and no charge for passes .so pleased for the mid week break as normal cost in brochure would be about 300 pounds I paid 92 .80 I will i think have to add on daily charge at the site.been there before lovely right by a beautiful beach.
I didn't think the passes were free for the May half term at Camber. If they are that would be a bonus.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Just got our extra charges for Butlins for a weekend in July a extra £230 for 3 days after booking with the sun. A total rip off as it's cheaper to book direct with Butlins so I have now changed our booking and will never book through one of these again!!0 -
I have not had a chance to book with the Mail up till now but managed to get a break I am happy with (Perran Sands, Premier) Had a Luxury Plus last year and it was fine.
The price on the website was £30 per night but after paying by credit card, it is showing £122.80 for 3 nights when it should be £90 + £2.80 booking fee. This is obviously before I am hit with entertainment passes, linen etc (which I will cancel!).
Anyone had a similar experience.
I will phone on Monday but just wondered if I am missing something?0 -
You have to pay for a minimum of four people, even if there aren't four of you. So four times £30 and £2.80 booking fee.
The invoice always looks scary when it arrives as they add things you may not want ie linen, passes but they will take it off when you phone to pay.0 -
Thanks very much - must've forgotten that!0

Dithering between staying at Perran Sands or Hendra near Newquay. Two women using it as a base to get out and about to explore Cornwall so not planning to use the facilities or entertainment.
Can't decide whether I want to be near the beach in a smaller place, or whether to go for Newquay with a bit more to go out to at night.
Advice anyone? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Well, we stayed at Perran Sands last year and it was perfect as far as location goes. Did not use any of the facilities and spent time in Perranporth - lots of bars, shops, restaurants; St Ives which is just a few miles away and also Newquay. Loved visiting Newquay but I was kind of glad I wasnt staying there! We drove to these places but there is a bus service which calls at the park (quite a walk to the stop though!) and goes to Newquay and St Ives as wel as other places if you dont fancy driving!0

Definitely not Newquay.Too many children, too little time!!!0

We go to hendra every year- it has the newest and the highest standard accommodation we have ever found and the staff are genuinely helpful. It's a big site, but you can keep away from the on site entertainment if you want, there are 2 pubs in walking distance, a bus that goes regularly into Newquay in the evening so handy if you want a few drinks. For us, it's the best of both worlds, around 2 miles out means its quieter than staying in Newquay, loads of beaches and places to go within a short drive and restaurants and bars in Newquay easy reach of an evening.
The only problem is hendra don't accept same sex parties ( to obviously avoid stags etc) and accept couples and families only so you may not actually be able to stay...0
