Hoping someone who's booked for Butlins using this deal before can help me with a couple of questions.

Firstly do you get a kitchen in your accommodation, 6 of us going so would be extortionate to eat out every meal.

Also if I book 2 holidays in a row so we get 7 nights do I have to book 2 lots of passes or can I just book passes for the 1st break and use the same passes for the whole week.

I've also read that we might not need the passes at all as some people have not been asked for them, if I did this and found we were asked for them can you buy for the same price when you're there.

Depends - some are just a lounge and some have a kitchen. Call and check what you have.

    Not sure.

We've been to Butlins Minehead twice and not had to show passes. However, if you get there and have to buy them, it's about £29 a day! So for mine, it's £27 for 3 adults and 2 children. Might as well keep that as would be gutted to have to pay more.

Thanks GingerDi, think I'll just play it safe an buy them before. Is the £29 a day each so effectively for 6 of us I'd be £174 a day.

Even if I book 6 lots of passes for both breaks it would be £150 extra but at least that's for the whole week.

Is there no way to know before you book if you'd get a kitchen as that is the real decider for us, without a kitchen it would just be too expensive. I'm right on the edge of booking but I've never done it this way before so am really scared.

I've booked two consecutive breaks at butlins in July to make 7 day holiday. Called today to advise it was one booking not two so wearen't moved midweek. Asked for linen and passes to be removed for both breaks, which brought whole week down to just under £200. Then upgraded to 2 bedroomed silver so beds already made up when we get there for extra £80 ish. Lady on phone also confirmed we wouldn't need passes anyway :) apartment has kitchen too btw :)

Hi seems butlins don't know them selves whether they issue passes or not. Phoned them up and was told they issue passes, then when i questioned this was told they would probley issue passes. first was told it was a piece of paper then was told its an entertainment guide, then it is an guide and a pass. Told that they would know who hasn't paid for passes as people with passes are put in accommodation near the entertainment. Also they would know as the pool is a queuing system.

The other day I was told they issue wristbands, this is for the skegness one.

Also told if I doont have linen hire I will have to take duvet and pillows.

I was told that last year, but when I got there complete with bedding, I found the duvets and pillows on the beds and it was just the sheets, quilt cover and pillowcases I needed.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I go to Skeggy regularly on day visits, never even been given a pass, you just come and go as you please in the pool, entertainment venues etc

I went to butlins Minehead for a short break and never got given a pass/wrist band etc. then went for the day where it was £29 ish each for adults and not a lot less for children. So it's whether or not you want to risk it I guess. In my opinion, they won't be asking to see wrist bands etc but you never know. For £27 for 5 of us, it's not worth the risk for us.

I don't think there's a way of finding out if it has a kitchen or not, could you ring and make a booking on the phone - at least that way you'll know for sure.
