Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Ok...just rang Bradford Planning Dept...they don't seem to have a clue!!!

That reference 09/01848/FUL is for an app submitted by Asda in 2009 to increase the 2 hours parking to 3 hours...WHICH WAS GRANTED!

Now, i don't understand, because THEY don't understnad..what is definitive here!
The lady said, its been granted, but its up to them ! If the sign says 2 hours, then its 2 hours.

I pointed her to the article:
    theargus.co.uk/news/9031524.Aldi_fined_for_breaking_law_on_parking_charges_at_Portslade_store

..and stated, how can your Enforcement officers enforce anything, when your dept doesn't know if its 2 or 3 hours!

Atleast those in the Brighton planning office knew the hours..which meant they could take them to court!

She took my details, and said she would pass it on to one of the enforecemnet officers to contact me...but i am surprised, that the system is so lax that you can implement whatever hours suits you..regardless whether you have been granted 3 hours!

This is totally out of a logical way of thinking...how can you enforce, when you don't know if its 2 or 3!
She even stated it was nothing to do with them..until i pointed out its all part of the initial planning application and granting that application!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else like to have a go...the number for the Bradford Planning Dept is: 01274 434605

Somebody more technically aware could state more facts then me..and what exactly the Enforcemnt officers should be doing!

The lady you were talking to was probably the admin clerk and she won't know the details. Asda didn't apply for the time increase, the council imposed it when the extra works were applied for. It is not optional on whether Asda can choose which time limit to use. 3 hours is the minimum limit.
You can look up the details yourself on line.

Yeah, your probably right, it will have been some sort of admin clerk!

She didn't seem to have a clue..and on top of all that, she tried justifying any question/argument, then eventually stating someone would get back to me from Enforcement, which they haven't done!
She also stated that Asda applied for the time extension, and was granted that extension!!..if these guys can't even read their own statements, we have absolutely no chance...what a joke!

Anyway, after that phone call, and after i posted it here...i did receive some good news!!!

The email i sent to the CEO was responded to by his executive team.
They have cancelled my PCN!!!!...as a good will gesture!

I replied, with thanks and telling him i won't be shopping there again, as there's an obvious risk i may need another good will gesture in the future!
