    Thats a good idea!

There you go...just add the http before the :

Also wondering whether i need to reply to them just once, incase they want to head to the courts eventually.
Don't want the judge to assume i did not even put my case forward to the company before the issue was propelled by them!

....or shall i wait for the reply from the CEO?

    ...decisions, decisions...help!!

They won't go to Court but there's no harm in writing once if you decide to state your views - but don't say please nor thankyou nor even call it an appeal or mitigation or anything that sounds like an excuse! They won't cancel it but as you say, you will feel you have acted reasonably.

Here's an example of a simple letter someone wrote to such a scammer, which made the position clear and said there'd be no further correspondence, which is a very reasonable stance. Post #108:

If you do that then I'd also go the POPLA route to cost them money, you may as well if you've decided to write to the PPC anyway, why let them off the costly stage!

If not then just ignore the whole scam and try a complaint in person to the Store manager at the Supermarket branch, often has more effect than trying to get a response from a CEO. Complain politely but be assertive and say they've lost your custom with this utter rip-off and how DARE they think pretending their agent can fine their customers is a good idea?!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As i said previously, it will be a long wait if you expect a reply from Andy Clarke.
    1. You don't have his correct email addy (unless you work for Asda)
    2. His mail is filtered off.

Easy option is to ignore but a firm complaint to DVLA about this letter and its breach of Companies Act 2006, POFA etc would be very helpful as this lot are telling porkies to the relevant authorities.

I got an email yesterday from TCP telling me they'd cancelled my 'ticket' due to the points i raised.
Interesting because i didn't raise any - only on here and pepipoo.

I did however make an 'appeal' to them in a way i don't think they were expecting.
    So, what made them cancel?

Hi...i've just received a first demand for parking over stay charge from TCP today!

I have emailed the Asda CEO to sort it out this evening.
Shall i send something back to TCP as i'm disputing charge because my car wouldn't start!! Only 30 minutes over!

Any chance you can post a copy of the letter you sent, leading them to cancel your charge, with relevant right to charge and vat etc.

    Any other advice appreciated
    Thanks

Just noticed your ticket is for the Shipley Store.
What time limits did TCP impose on you?

    Edit.
Just read the timings on the photo's.
Bit of a bummer as i thought they may be using the old 2 hour limits.
  • If i'm correct, Shipley store is 2 hours free...and i'm over by circa 30 minutes!

    Foget my edit.
You need to be getting yourself round to the store and demanding to see the manager and telling him where to shove the ticket and why he is allowing the scammers to breach planning permission.

Shipley used to be 2 hours but since the rework a couple of years ago the council made it 3 hours.

Get that in the letter to mike Butler. Also get one off to Tony Wilson at Asda, he's hiding his head in the sand about this company.
Also complain to the Planning Dept at Bradford Council.
TCP were guilty of same thing at Otley.

Is this ASDA store in breach of planning for imposing time limits on the parking ( via their agents TCP or whatever they are calling themselves)

if that is the case then a complaint to the local authority would be my first point of call, telling them that this store is in breach, you may also wish to draw their atention to a simalar case where another supermarket with an indential breach was fined £600 plus £1,215 costs, see here:
Aldi fined for breaking law on parking charges at Portslade store
    http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/9031524.Aldi_fined_for_breaking_law_on_parking_charges_at_Portslade_store/

    Then complain to the store.

    I just said that.
It was also one of the issues in my OP.
These charlatans have form for this. Asda ultimate responsibility but the Local Managers are not always fully aware of the relevant details.
  • Hi Guys..

Can someone confirm to me whether its 2 hours free, or 3 hours at the Shipley Asda store!

    This would be appreciated.

Cos it looks as if they're trying it on..like Aldi did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Reading the posts above.

ASDA and the parking company say 2 hrs free, local council says 3.

Local council trumps ASDA and the parking company so put a complaint in to the council and drop ASDA in it.
