That sounds good Paul :) a new thread would be a good idea, though you would need to be careful its not written as advertsiing - maybe ask for feedback on the idea??

Steps taken today towards achieving challenge no.1 / 2

    PUT ON HOLD TODAY

Rowan is the master of disaster, a one man wrecking crew, a tornado in diapers... He is my Grandson

And after his visited yesterday, I've just spent the last two hours putting the flat back to how it as before his visit.

Today, my positive step challenges are on hold as I attempt to get organised.

First up, clean the flat, re-organise my messy PC desktop (OMG, what a chore) and rebuild a PC out of spare parts ready for my business challenge.

  • Hi folks could I join your thread please? I have been trying to do my 'daily 5' to work towards my main goals but it would be much nicer and inspiring to work with others.

I am heading back to read over the thread and see what goals everyone is working towards.

Had a good read through the thread and there are some great goals out there.

My main goals for the year in Jan were:
    1. Look fantastic - lose weight and start taking more care over my appearance as I have let myself go to put it mildly. Not making much progress with this - I am a slob at heart but really need to try harder on this one as it is affecting how I feel about myself and my confidence.

    2. Get a permanent teaching job. This has been achieved as I was offered a permanent job at the school where I was temp.

    3. Save towards moving house in a few years time. Ideally I wanted to save £25k but this will not happen due to my car falling to bits and needing replaced.

    My new goals:
    1. Same as in Jan as I have really done no work on this. Aiming to lose 3 stone. This goal now has to be a priority.

    2. Save as much as I can each month.

    3. Not really sure what I want my next goal to be now that I have my permanent job. I want to do well in the job obviously but not go for promotion or anything. I need to have a think about this.

My daily 5 for Monday 24 June
Gym session after work - not done due to BT call taking hours!!
Walk at local country park - done
Phone BT regarding broadband (cancelled months ago but still being charged for it despite numerous phone calls) - done I hope - took two hours of calls!
Work out budget for month ahead - done
Re-schedule dentist apt - still to do

Fairy, my Hubby's been putting off weighing himself for a few weeks now. He's just had to buy a size up on new work shirts, he's not a happy bunny.

Did I tell you all I put on 3lbs last week... 3LBS!!!! I'm hoping it's TOM on it's way or eek!

I find it really hard to organise my tasks when I'm on overtime duty and things either get done or they don't. Kind of had a kind of productive weekend though.

    Tasks for tonight:
    - make tea and salad for my lunch tomorrow (Hubby's butties already made)
-finish ironing (started this morning before work)
-nectar ads (SBing at work this aft ;))
-wrap up 2 of Hubby's pressies and try and do an hour on his card (think I'll have to adapt the xstitch design or I'm never going to finish it)

Go on, be brave Fairy and weigh yourself!

  • Got up at 5am this morning to do some Yoga and some Buddhist practice. Feeling the better for it. I used to do the 5am rise regularly and would like to get back into it. It gives me that hour before having to get ready for work to set myself up for the day. I had stopped doing it regularly as I have been so tired but looks like I am getting my mojo back!

    Todays Daily 5:
    Yoga session - done
Sort out incoming wages into various accounts (OH pay day today)
Washing on - starting to prepare for packing to go on hols
    Pay NG invoice
Walk at local country park with OH this evening
Food shop - family coming for buffet dinner and catch up on Thursday before I head away on holiday

Excellent progress on cleaning my flat and making it more a place I can work from. Starting any business is daunting, but starting one from this pit would be impossible.

    So...

    Living room decluttered - Done
I can move around without bumping into boxes, whoop whoop

    Spare Bedroom - Done
This will eventually become my place of work. Totally cleared, so much more space to play with.

    Bedroom - To Do Next

    Kitchen - To Do List
    Tile second wall
Source a splash back for finished wall
    Design shelving for cooker wall
Plasterboard empty wall, ready for plastering.

This could take some time...Not items that could easily be ticked off.

Also done since my last post.

Opened Cedit Union account (and deposited £5)

Found another potential marketing partner for Great News (My magazine)

Thought of a new product (will draw up designs later today)
