Good morning everyone, hope you're all well and reaching your goals.

I'm failing on so many of my goals, perhaps because I'm not giving myself enough time to complete them.

So...It's my birthday on the 23rd of this month - this is my new end goal date - that gives me 23 days to complete the following goals.

    1. Re-connect with my wife.
We still play Words with Friends (on our Android phones), exchanging the odd text chat every now and then. My 'Wife' goal, is to reconnect in person.

    2. Craftworkcottage (My Web Site)
I'm paying £8 month for web space that I'm just not using to my advantage. I need to decide if I actually need a web site at all...

I do need a place to store my Great News magazine (and its resource files), but maybe there is an alternative online storage I could use (Cloud, maybe!)

    3.Great News Magazine
Feedback - Simple really, I need to know where I'm going wrong, and how to improve my creation. (If anyone would care to comment, criticise, suggest improvements, I'd be grateful for your input).

    3. My Abode
My flat, although moving in the right direction, still looks like a building site. It saps my postive energy and is bringing me down.

    a. Declutter - Time to see if I can cram any more junk into my shed, and maybe consider hiring a skip.

    b. Use the spare room as a tempory dumping ground for everything else.
(I am after all going to have to pay £15 week for this room, I might as well use it)

    4. Calling all Positive Steppers :-)
Can I ask a favour. I'm thinking I might benefit from creating a life planner (can't think of another word for it) and want some input on creating one. Do any of you use wall planners, if so, whats on it.

Does anyone want to help me create one?

    Paul :-)

    Hi Everyone :)

Paul - I'm more than happy to help you with a life planner and also to read your mag and make suggestions/comments etc if i can.

Re your goals and 'failing' (no such thing as failing on this thread!), can i suggest you break them down into smaller more manageable chunks? It also might be a good idea to give yourself a focus for the month by choosing one of them to work on most of all - i have done this before and it really helped me :)

    I'm thinking something like this:

Focus - Sorting Flat - living room

    steps:

clear items not needed to spare room
    tidy coffee table
    move books to bookcase

    etc etc

you will find it much much easier to step when you give yourself specific things to work on and break your tasks down into daily things to do to achieve your overall goal :) Hope that helps! xx

For me today i would like to:

check out local craft shop - done :)
find out about craft groups i could join
take mum to train station - done :)
blog update re giveaway - done :)
    one poll
    free bingo - done :)
    clear coffee table
    clear dining room table
    hoover downstairs
    contact agent about shower
    check progress against goals

think thats me for now :)

    Happy Stepping :)

    THE MAGAZINE

    http://www.craftworkcottage.co.uk/files/Great%20News.pdf

    LIFE PLANNER

It needs a name or title: Suggestions please :T How about something like 'The Positive Steppers Life Planner', or something along those lines.

    FORMAT:PDF
I think PDF is perfect for sharing the Life Planner. It will work on most computers/tablets etc, and has built-in Print/Download buttons.

The other benefit is being able to link to other resources from within the PDF file.

So Imagine the Life Planner is an A3 PDF file, that is downloaded and shared freely. The Life Planner, is split into multiple sections, each dealing with a different goal, and a space for the user to write a plan of action or pledge (So, under the section Health/Weight Loss, the user could write a pledge to walk, 20 minutes, three times a week.)

HEALTH: Weight Loss, Fitness Goals etc

WEALTH: Manage Financial Commitments (paying debts, etc), Savings (money jars monitoring)

    SELF: ?

Oh nuts, I've run out of steam, lol I'm going to need something to eat...

    Hi all,

I will finish the xstitch eventually. Maybe I should change it to a 50th and give myself 10 more years :rotfl:

It's my week for overtime duty so not much will get done over the next dew days but going to wrap up the last of his pressies tonight and make his card. Lunches for tomorrow and a pie for tea tonight already made to save time later.

Sir Pac - for your life planner what about the heading "Work" whether that is a short term goal such as training or asking for a payrise or even looking for work e.g. will volunteer to get experience or write CV. I think most people have a work goal unless retired.

    Yes!

    Thank you...

I've added your suggestion WORK (I like the asking for a payrise sub-goal, it gave me a design idea :T )

Do you think A3 is a bit excessive! I have an A3 printer, so it would suit my needs, but not others. So maybe if I created it in A4 format, this would simplify the printing process for others???

Focus - Sorting Flat - living room

    steps:

clear items not needed to spare room
    tidy coffee table
    move books to bookcase

    Cool, took your advice:

    How?
I cleared the spare room of clutter (took everything out that I could, leaving the larger items, bed etc). I then designated each corner of the room (3 of them, bed in other) a temporary holding place for 1. Tools, 2. Products & Product Resources 3. Little Monster's Toys

I then went on a TOOL hunt, if I found one (or several) I would take them to the designated corner.

In no time at all, I had all my tools (that where spread over 4 rooms) in one place, same goes for Products (CD's, Paper stock etc) and Little Monsters Toys.

    :T

I never visited a room without coming out with something for each of the 3 corners.

    ahhh! space to breahte :)

Next, to pile up all rubbish by the front door ready for disposal.

Having a tidy flat is somethng that I stuggle with, but now at least I can see the forest through the trees!!!

    Cheers chick :-)

Thing is Sir Pac, I bought it with the intention of making it into a 30th birthday card for him 10 years ago then misplaced the kit only to be found again this year just after the footy season had ended! If I'd found it earlier I'd have got it done whilst he was out at matches:rotfl:
