    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sir Pac :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Next year I'm buying Hubby a birthday card. Managed to only get half of it done last night due to the overtime shift taking longer than usual. AND I managed to spill glitter everywhere including over two of the cats.

    Tonight's tasks are:
    - finish card
    - make pasta for tea and a curry for tomorrow's tea
    - hang up washing in spare room
    - make lunches for tomorrow

and I'm on the overtime shift again!

LOL!!!! you two are making me laugh :D

I didn't manage a lot yesterday as having 2 nights with very little sleep meant i couldn't be a******* lol!

I did have a quick look at the mag paul and it looks great :) I will have a read through today at some stage.

Yesterday when i looked i thought it could maybe do with a welcome intro of some kind and navigation info (ie i didn't realise the contents page images were links). I have to say i wasn't 100% sure about the contents page being images - it sort of looked a bit jumbled and it took me a while to figure out it was the contents if you know what i mean? Saying that i did like the idea of using images that way lol!!! Thats prob not helpful at all.........hahaha will have a better look today though as my head is not so tired :P though it is fuzzy from sleeping :P

still working on my list from yesterday, so have managed to do:

    one poll - :)
    free bingo :)
    put a wash on :)
sorted some job lots for ebay :)
    listed 2 job lots :)
    blog updates x 2 :)
    called ex back :)

    still to do:

clear coffee table - done :)
    clear dining room table
    strip bed in spare room
    hoover downstairs - done :)
check forecast for thursday - done :)
    check goals
    contact agent about shower
contact agent about other house - done :)
    find out about craft groups
do some more work on patchwork project
    order oil
    pay mobile bill
list more on ebay - done :)
take photos of shoes for selling
move car boot stuff upstairs - done :)
read some more of book - done :)
pack up ebay sales - done :)
    post ebay sales
take photos for blog - done :)

So I have ticked most things off my list...
    Left to do are:
    • New music mix
    • add up bank charges since 2010
    • email about bollywood class
    • email Laura about meeting
    • send receipt to brownie group
    • email Jhoom ladies about midnight walk
    • write workshop descriptions for Alex
    • email about Mela involvement
    And some new ones..
    • Pack for trip
    • Go through ALL c.card statements and shred old ones apart from PPI claim ones
    • DIY jobs around the house
    • check train times to come home from trip
    • book trains to manchester
    • Do some weeding
    And some rollies..
    • Call 3
    • Call Bcard about PPI
    Lots to get one with....PHEW!

Wow Suzi well done on getting so much done - you must have been flying :)
Hahah thanks Fairy I was but I seem to have ground to a halt at the moment. if I'm honest everything is getting on top of me. I've FINALLY had PPI refund confirmation but it is not as much as I was first promised :( it is the right amount and a fair amount but they told me last year I was getting 6 times the amount I have been given....sigh......never mind.

Also HSB* are REALLY taking the pee pee, I have had to declare myself in finacial hardship because they took SO much in bank charges this month it wiped out the pay from one of my jobs and I couldn't afford my rent let alone other bills. I am going to be contesting these charges as Martin says they can't do it if they are constantly pushing you deeper into debt...but I have to say that I have been putting it off because I know it will be long and arduous. Needs must however and if I manage to get any if niot all back I will be in a much better position, and able to pay off some of my overdraft finally.

Hahaha Hi Paul, hows things? I've got to say I love your magazine, it must have taken you ages!!! I can't really think ofn anything you are doing wrong..perhaps you can personalise the features a bit more so that they are promoting local businesses if that is the aim of the mag. If you google 'the crack magazine', this is the local free mag for Newcastle, it has a huge circulation and does very well, also 'the ocelot' for wiltshire, my fiances 2nd cousin runs this mag and it is also highly successful, maybe that will help?

I need to do a new list, but finding even that hard at the moment :(
Money troubles and the fact I am doing some scary things this week to challenge myself and my business are making me very anxious and stressed. it will be good for me though. And I start my lovely new part time job on Monday, I can't wait!! It is also much better money than I was earning before...which will help me in a few months get back on my feet.
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D

I didn't manage a lot yesterday as having 2 nights with very little sleep meant i couldn't be a******* lol!

Snap! The monsters, I mean , grandkids (Rowan, 2, wants to be in construction, and currently practising his trade on my flat), and Sophia, 1, wants to be like her brother) paid me a visit yesterday and I'm still playing catchup.

fairyclicks, we need to create a 28 hour day, allowing us an additional 4 hours for power-napping.

Yesterday when i looked i thought it could maybe do with a welcome intro of some kind and navigation info (ie i didn't realise the contents page images were links). Excellent! Thank you so much. That was really useful information, and I can see how I can make the magazine more user friendly, removing the images as links, adding text links instead :T

I am beginning to see that the magazine has become an albatross around my neck, swallowing up my time, and resources - although good in theory, I think I took on a task that is beyound me. I have had to learn how to do it all myself through trial and error, and to be truthful, working on my own with the magazine has become a nightmare.

I will have to shelve the magazine idea for a few days whilst I deal with other pressing matters (Bedroom Tax )

It's no wonder you're not getting any sleep! When do you find time to relax :-)

What are you selling on eBay? Is it stuff you've created yourself?

Would that suggestion you have MORE  than two cats?

I have plans to be that Crazy Cat Lady that frightened us as children ;) Despite promising Hubby "no more after 3" and then "no more after 4" we now have 5 kitties (2 old codgers of 14yrs+. 8yrs, 4 yrs and 11wks) 4 of which were strays or adopted from friends.

In other news, which may shock you even more than me having 5 cats, I've finally finished Hubby's birthday card!:T

    Tonight I need to:
    - overtime shift (here's hoping for another quick finish)
    - make tea & lunches
    - catch up on Nectar Ads
    - spend time with Hubby

I've already done the ironing this morning :)

Crikey mate! I feel for you...I hope you're taking time off to calm your mind. I'm only dealing with 'Bedroom Tax' and its giving me headaches.

I hope you can get on top of this before it leads to more than monetry hardship, and starts effecting health.

The magazine itself didn't take too long to create because it was more recreational, like a hobby, and time wasn't an issue.

The magazine started out as a PC application. Now that was time-consuming and difficult, and caused me no end of headaches. Then I converted it to a PDF (eBook) magazine. (by the way fairyclicks, I can now see where the clickable images came from, they made sense when the magazine was in PC application form, but didn't translate so well when I converted the magazine into an eBook :o )

I did some research when I started and found similar 'community' magazines locally. I know I could match their content, and so set off trying to compete. What didn't occur to me until much later was they had a team of people working on their magazine, sales team, etc.

I was doing everything myself and financing everything from what was leftover from my Job Seekers Allowance (which wasn't much, even less now thanks to the bedroom tax).

If you need to unwind a little, and have a smartphone, I can recommend Words with Friends ( wife hasn't played her words in two days :o )

Take (extra) care of yourself, and slow everything down ;)
