I've tried The Works 'his missus, I check back with them from time to time without much luck. They do blank greeting cards but no longer at the size I require (6x6")
I used to buy 2 packs for £8 (100 cards/envelopes). These were ideal for sending CDs (attached to the greeting card via a plastic spider) through the post for the price of a stamp.Always interested in networking with small business owners with regard to marketing opportunities...0 -

Morning all.
Busy day for me today, up early despite going to bed late so I've already got the slow cooker on cooking a beef joint for tea.
I need to:
- tackle the huge pile of ironing
- make a lasagne (once the mince is defrosted)
- visit father and father in law
- wash bedding from little bedroom
- vaccuum
- clean the kitchen0 -
Steps taken today towards achieving challenge no.1
Joined a Credit Union as a form of saving for equipment required for my business challenge (or at least filed an application).
Had an idea to help others, and in doing so help myself. A shared marketing challenge.
(All businesses rely on getting bums on seats (eyes on product/service) and I think I might have something to offer that other marketing methods haven't.
Steps taken today towards achieving challenge no.2
Passed the wife in the street, and if she saw me, then she blanked me, and maybe that means there is no going backTime to concentrate on challenge no1.

I've had many business ideas, but with Big Dreams and Small Pockets nothing has really come of any of them. My main stumbling block has been marketing. It's both expensive and time consuming (JSA doesn't go far).
So with the cost of advertising out of my reach I decided to create my own magazine, called Great News, it's digital and sitting on my web site doing nothing but twiddling its thumbs. Life has gotten in the way of promoting the magazine (and through the magazine, my products/services) and I'm only just now started to get the ball rolling again.
The magazine is a PDF, so almost anybody can read it, Windows, Mac, Tablets, and some smart-phones.
There is an app too - the apps is a container, which gives access to the latest version of the magazine as well as promoting my products/services.
The app is causing me a few headaches, so It's currently offline.
The app is Windows only ( doesn't work on Win 8 for some reason  )
One of the services I was going to offer was advertising space for other small start-ups, but rather than charge a fee, I'd offer to share the magazine instead, like a form of co-marketing.
Everyone promotes the magazine, and the magazine promotes their products in return.
If I wasn't dealing with the 'Bedroom Tax' problem today, I'd have time to better explain my ideas, maybe if I started a seperate thread within the appropriate forum once I've had time to clearly define how I believe my marketing idea can help other small start-ups ??
