Hurray my room is finally beginning to resemble somewhere quite lovely :) Still a lot to do though and I'm determined to get everything off the landing and out of the spare room today.

Hooraaay I am glad you are making progress Giggles. Do you find you have to keep going back to things to clear out more? I am exactly the same, I can't make all the decisions in one go :(

    Hello all,

We have a new adition to the brood - a teeny kitten my dad found abandoned by the canal. He is going to take up a lot of my time this week as the poor thing is being left alone for 9.5 hrs a day whilst we're at work. He's currently residing in the spare room as one of my cats hasn't taken to him and I'm worried she'll be agressive towards him if we gave him free run of the house.

Awwwww how lovely, and at least 9.5hrs in your home is better than nobody loving him down by the canal, how can people be so heartless?!
    Morning :D

I'm all out of my wee routine of posting and am getting no-where without my list lol! I have loads of appointments this week and next so will be up and down to mummios and generally all over the place for the next little couple of weeks! Going to try and focus on getting a couple of things done that have been hanging around in rollie list for ages:

    Phone barlaycard for settlement figure
    sort postage claims
list some things on ebay/fb etc
sort some more job lots to sell

Hi Fairy, Ive jumped on here this evening cuz I am having a really down day motivation wise and need to give myself a good kick up the bottom! :-D Is ur barclaycard payment PPI by any chance? I am having real trouble getting mine back from them...sighhhhhh

Hey Suz :) hope you get your mojo working again!!

I need to contact BC about a payment - want to make them an offer to clear my balance but i know they can be hard to deal with so i keep putting it off :( am going right now to find my details at least and that will be a wee step in the right direction :) good luck with the PPI claim - are they not responding or just being jammy about it?

Just generally trying to fob me off, I am contacting them again next week and I will be asking to speak to someone senior as I have given them another months grace to sort it out. I got a few bits done Fairy but nothing major, need to make a list tomorrow methinks :)
Yes baby steps to get yours sorted, if you have everything ready that will help when you call, maybe try writing things down that you want to say? I do this if i think i might get flustered :)

I actually managed to contact both my remaining debts yesterday and despite all the barriers they put up i have made an offer on both of them so just have to wait and see what they say now :) They should accept the offers ok cos i worked out it would take me 12 years to pay the debts at my current repayment amount!

    Today i would like to:

attend my psych appt - done :)
post ebay sales - done :)
plan car boot sales to go to over the weekend - done :)
    tidy the house
    wash dishes
    free bingo - done :)
    one poll - done :)
sort some more job lots for ebaying

that will do for now :)

hope you all have a lovely day xxx

He's making up for it when we get home as the room is just a single bed-sized boxed sot here's not much room to run around in (though he does have an activity centre in there so he's not unstimulated) and he tears around the house burning off energy. Spending lots of time playing with him so we're not getting much (ok, virtually nothing apart from food related tasks) done around the house in the evening.

Fairy, fingers crossed they accept your debt offers xx

Great news on your debt settlements fairyclicks, lets hope they accept! Well done on making the big steps to call them cuz I know how hard that can be. So how did you go about making a settlement offer? Sounds like something I may also have to do with barclaycard as the interest is crippling!

Are you up to date with your payments? if so they will not even consider it! If not up to date then the first step is to contact them with details of your income and outgoings and ask for the interest to be frozen, or consider going through stepchange debt charity with your income and outgoings details and they will get the interest frozen on all your debts :D

My debts have had interest frozen for about 4 years and i was paying £50 per month off 12 different debts so they were getting very little. I was in a strong position to make the settlement as i am not able to work and not likely to be able to again, and the debts were at a level it would take me many many years to clear them - think it was 34 years at one point :o:eek:

    Hello all,

My kitten is definitely getting in the way of stepping, any excuse not to clean up, me! ;)

I did manage a cooking session yesterday and have enough meals in for the week. It's Hubby's turn on the overtime duty so we need something quick when we get home or it's after 8pm before we eat.

I'm off out for tea tonight to the local carvery so nothing will be getting done today. Do plan to review my finances later if work quietens down
