I'm giving up drinking. This way I think I can save about £50 per month and lose weight. Havn't had a drink for 5 days;) Wish me Luck
Congrats :T :T
My OH has not had a drink for 3 weeks which is pretty amazing for him - he's lost his belly and his chin and looks even more gorg than when I met him!

I think the giving up drinking would be a good plan for me too. I don't drink much though, maybe a night out every 2-3 weeks. Anyone know whats the best thing to drink? I usually have archers and lemonade or vodka and coke. Don't like wine or beer.
Lucy1982 - thats a massive weight change, you must be feeling great!
I haven't done too badly today - salad for lunch etc. Going to friends for tea tonight though so don't know what i'll be eating!0 -
Good luck for tonight Lucy.
I struggled a bit yesterday as i had to have a meal out, went for baked potato though :A I 've been so busy today i've not had chance to think about food. Just made myself some quick beans on toast and then going to collapse.0 -
I have my weigh in tonight and I don't think I've done all that well
But I suppose anything off is better than on.
I have had to buy 3 new wardrobes. I've drop from a size 20  to a 12/14I've now decided to try taking in some of my fave t-shirts to make them last longer. I just need to finish off the seams but they don't look that bad.
But I'll post tomorrow with my weight loss. Wish me luck!
got to say WOW! well done! are you following a specific plan?
I was back to work today, think ive been a bit bad but time will tell...0 -

Having a good day, have a new battery for my pedometer. Did 5300 steps yesterday and 5100 so far today. Did a 30minute walk in my lunch hour, exploring the business park (have recently moved office) and have decided that it's pretty good for jogging when I get to that stage. It's not too busy with cars and people so not too many people around to stare at me
I have raised £147 for race for life already, I'm extremely pleased with that and it's a great motivator.
I'm going to a professional sports shop at the weekend to find out what trainers I need.
So all going very well.0 -
Oh, I forgot to add I found this website:
http://www.walkjogrun.co.uk/
I'm not associated with it in anyway. I just found it today and you can plot runs and it works out the mileage. Perfect for working out different routes. Hope it helps someone.0 -
Hi all!
I didnt go to WW tonight, decided to try doing it myself to begin with. I dug out my old WW stuff & weighed myself at the same time as I would have been weighed at the meeting and was horrified to find Im 1/2 stone heavier than I thought. Thats 17 1/2 stone (sigh). From now on it goes down though, along with the debt!

Please can I join in?
Did a half hour walk today and intend to do this at least 5 times a week. I'm trying to cut down on food - by not cutting out any of my favourites. I've lost a stone since Christmas by going to the gym. Got to cancel my membership now though as my DDs for gas and electricity have gone up!0 -
