I went for a weigh in this am lost 2lb so I am happy tonight. I am doing the Race for Life on 8th July so that's my motivation for the diet and exercise.0
-
I was in hospital today and had 3 lumps removed - I reckon there was half a lb there alone
Add to that being sparked out for a few hours and kinda grotty since and i'm expecting great things this week!0 -

You poor thing! I hope you are fighting fit and well:grouphug:
I'd like to get joined in too, I have about 2 stone to lose and really need to get fit and start doing exercise. I will not turn 30 in three months whilst still looking somewhat similar to a wobbly blancmange. I'm going to start a beginners running programe from runners world too. I got some cheap jogging bottoms from Primark and am using old T shirts/sweatshirts. I did get some new trainers though as mine was knackered and I think there is a point between not spending money and causing damaged to your joints. I have weak tendons which is not an illness but gives me an idea of the pressure i'm putting on my body. I got a pair of Asics ladies running shoes from Sports World, they do loads of heavily reduced trainers and mine where £25 from £75 and seem really solid, a good make, specifically for running and with breathable material. They always have reduced shoes etc there I got some Karrimor walking shoes there a few months back for £20 from around £90. Try https://www.sports-world.com and take a look at any stores near you.
I did have an Asda sports bra that was £4 but its not that good, however I got a Berlei Shock Absorber bra from matalan for £10 and this is worth every penny, nothing moves and I mean nothing, and it does not squash em down but perks them up, almost a 90's Madonna pointy bra look. I bounced on my trampoline this morning and saved a whole hour as I did not have to spend time covering up the usual black eyes that result from such an activity.
Going to eat stuff from the cupboards for the rest of this week and then my Slimming World is getting dusted off. No meetings though, don't have the time or the money.0 -
LivingInHope - not much progress with the 'activities' lol.....my bump gets in the way!
IA - don't worry, I wont rush into losing weight too quickly - never had a great figure to start with so I'm not expecting miracles lol!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Jumping in on this one...
Me and OH started WW last week (we're doing it ourselves, I've got the books from last year, not very DFW paying for meetings) and this week we lost a total of 5lbs between us. That's 2 for me and 3 for OH. I've got 30lbs to go to get back into my fav jeans, and OH just wants to lose 20lbs by her birthday in July. Then she'll carry on until she's comfortable with her size again. Strange thing is, we've 'gone back' onto WW many times in the past year, but not with as much gusto as this time. We've meal planned for the whole week, pointed and tracked everything, and I really think this is it this time, no going back. We've decided to do points, not core plan, and it's working. Instead of munching 3 bags of crisps each, we'll share one and point them. We're eating loads of scrummy food instead of the same old meals, having loads of fun choosing new recipes to cook. And of course meal planning is very DFW too. Trouble is, FFW also means new clothes...

I have my weigh in tonight and I don't think I've done all that well
But I suppose anything off is better than on.
I have had to buy 3 new wardrobes. I've drop from a size 20  to a 12/14I've now decided to try taking in some of my fave t-shirts to make them last longer. I just need to finish off the seams but they don't look that bad.
But I'll post tomorrow with my weight loss. Wish me luck!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
