    I'm falling off the wagon!

In the last month I've only lost about 2 pound  This is really bad for me and for some reason I'm sort of falling back into my old ways. I had a chat to the guy who runs my slimming group and he thinks it's stress. My cousin has just got married and the built up was like hell on earth!

Has anyone got and suggestions to keep me going and get some of my determination back. I've lost over 4 stone I do not want to put anything back on and I still have some to lose!

    Please help me!!!

Have actually managed to lose two lbs this past week, not sure how, and it'll probably be back with interest, shortly!

Stayed the same this week. Not too bothered though as we had a bit of a binge drink on saturday and went out for a carvery on sunday. Back on track this week, doing Wendie Plan again, we know it works and it works better than sticking to points every day.

I haven't lost anything this week, but I think it's because of a bit of water retention going on (the ladies will know what I mean :))

Good news though is that I'm just about fitting back into some older jeans :j although they are a bit too tight to wear for a whole day (as I discovered on Friday!) The downside though, is that I've noticed they're starting to wear a bit thin on the thighs, so they probably won't last me that long anyway :(

Sometimes I feel I'm cheating a bit as I'm not following a 'plan' - just trying to eat fairly healthily, but I know that in the long term it will be better for me as it'll mean more likely a long-term eating change rather than diet/binge/diet/binge which is what I've done up until this point!

No way is that cheating! Thats the most effective and sensible way to do it!

    HI everyone...

I got the final all clear from the hospital yesterday, so now can go crackers with the ol' weight loss. My main problem is time, as in time to exercise (two jobs, hour each way commute, needy OH!) so am thinking lots of 'small things' like walking at lunchtime, getting off busses two stops early may make all the difference with me - and say a half hour exercise fest in the mornings. The slimfast drinks are half price in Sainsburys at the moment - am trying to work out if they're worth it or not. Does anyone else have any experience of 'em?

    Today:
loads of earl grey no sugar
breakfast: Museli, semi skimmed (small bowl of)
lunch: grapes, Muller Light yoghurt, 1 x Wholemeal salad pitta bread, a pack of BGTY low fat pretzels
dinner: Salmon cottage pie (it's the only ready meal we get, 599 cals, low fat)

Question: I love pasta... is wholewheat that much better? It seems to have more fat / salt / cals but loads more fibre...

Wholewheat pasta is better because it has a lower GI so takes longer to be digested and keeps you feeling fuller longer.

Well I put on 2 and a half pounds last night  and worked out that I weigh the same now as I did on 23rd March!!!!

But I have had a good talking to by my consultant and I'm back on track I've had a good couple of days and I'm already feeling better. :D

Hopefully I'll be looking at a loss next Thurday. I'll keep you posted.

Well after the weight loss slowing to about a pound a week for the last few weeks,I am pleased to report a 1.5lb loss last night :) not as good as it has been, but I think the plateau may be on the move!

bobbadog I don't think slim fast shakes are a good idea, they work out at 200 calories each, for that you could have,an egg on toast with mushrooms and tomatoes, much more filling and will leave you feeling like you have eaten, good luck anyway :)

Got my old jeans on again today - and they're feeling much better! There's still a bit of a tummy overhang going on when I sit down, but they're actually feeling pretty darned comfortable (as opposed to last week when I felt like I was being cut in half by this point of the day!)

Bobbadog - i think Slimfasts are horrible things, and no way do they fill me up! I'd rather stick to a bowl of cereal for breakfast & low cal/fat sandwich for lunch!
