Just wondering out loud, but how bad is bread really?
Today, for instance, i'll be eating:
breakfast: museli & semi skimmed
lunch: tin of tomato soup, small white roll, muller light yoghurt and few blueberries
dinner: chicken kiev, veg, small amount of rice
Desert: homemade vimto-squash ice lolly!
Would culling the bread make much difference? I'd usually have a brown roll, but we had white in the freezer for OH's lunches...0 -

Hi bobbadog,
No food is 'bad',bread has loads of nutrients and gives you energy,so you shouldn't really avoid it,regarding calories, white bread is more often lower in calories than brown/wholemeal,but wholemeal is more filling,so less chance of snacking.
The only thing I would be wary of in your daily plan, would be the chicken kiev, quite high in calories with the butter and if it's a shop bought one,it is high in salt too,but a little of what you fancy does you good
Enjoy your day

Thank you LIH! Will only have the bread if i'm really hungry (have drank a lot of earl grey today so quite full really!) - the kiev is a naughty treat - will just have the one. The low fat ones had faaaar more salt in than the normal ones, so opted for normal as the fat didn't really outweigh the salt. I'm really wary of salt at the mo, have a heart condition, strangely my Lidl Tomato Soup has hardly any in it in comparison to Heinz... great!
