4 items listed on ebay last weekend. Only one sold- the one of least value and that takes up the least space. Considering just taking the other bits to charity shop to get them out the way. Not done much about the house this weekend other then the basic washing and dishes etc. Still its been good to spend time with family and friends. Now if only we didn't have to ho back to work tomorrow :(
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.
    MFW OPd 2014 £2000 2013 £9700 2012 £2848.39 2011 £2509.58 2010 £11000 2009 £112002008 £4939 :D

thinks it's the me and you thread fluffy :) don't mind tho - keeps me on track. I feel like I have to answer to someone every week.

I had a better weekend ebay wise then normal - 3 bits sold about £10 after fees. stilll got stacks of baby clothes, I should just put em at £10 (a stupid price for the amount there is) and get shot of them but I just soo refuse to do that.
I'll keep listing them locally and on free-bay weekends. They are currently on DS2's top bunk that isn't used so not too bad spacewise.

Washing - I think I have just emptied the 6th load today. Told the boys they could do painting outside as the weather was nice...... put it this was I was glad i put them in old clothes. what with DS1 doing foot printing (which consisted of him putting his foot in paint, slipping over and repeating numerous times) and Ds2 doing roly poly's in it. had to put them in a plastic box of soapy water before I could handle them to take them in the house to the bath.

righty finance spreadsheet update then I can do some cross stitch and relax for the night.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Hello chickywiggle and anyone else who might pop into this thread. Although i have enjoyed the motivation from your posts except for chickywiggle and myself it has been very quiet on here. I prefer a few more people to take part so more ideas and hence more motivation shared. So I'm suggesting another thread to you all which i intend to join. Its called Decluttering 2013 and its on the Old style section of the forum. Lots more like-minded folks on there. Hope you'll come too ;)

thanks fluffy but sounds too de-cluttery for me rather then having to think about what i have to do.

Tis a shame this thread died as I was loving it. Oh well.... back to my online diary to keep myself motivated.

  • Hi organised mums,

No no no please don't let this thread die. I've been lurking right since the start of this thread at the beginning of January. I have had so much motivation you would not believe.

After forgetting to pick my daughter up from school one day  although in my defence there was a mix up in after school clubs, I realised it was time to change. I bought myself an organised mums diary and now I am well on the way to being organised.

Our house itself has never looked so clean and tidy, I've done housework, DIY, gardening, sorting out of the baby clothes that have been stashed in the loft for nearly 7 years, I've sorted out cupboards I've darent gone into for years.

Anyway there's still a long way to go but this new me is mainly down to you guys. Best of all there have been no more times forgetting to pick my daughter up from school !!

I promise I will now no longer be a lurker.

    More soon.

  • Hello Organised Mums,

Ive been away for a few days, hence my lack of posts after promising !! Its a bit of an all over week this week as my sister is staying with me until tomorrow so I'm not going to get us much as I would like done.

Anyway my to do list for this week (and probably into next week is as follows :

Finish work (I work from home so should finish today)
    Pop to Asda
    Book oven cleaning
Sort out camping cupboard & white cabinet
    Plan Fathers day
Order Fathers day prezzie from Amazon
    Transfer last years ISA
Sort out car insurance for me and DH
Cancel old car insurance (they quoted me a ridiculous amount for the 2 but I have to make sure I cancel otherwise they will automatically renew)
Wrap DH anniversary prezzie & write card
    Mend DD pyjama top
    Meal plan

Hmmmm think that's all for the moment.

    More soon. Purplemunchkin xx

    Hi Tattycath,

Yes its a professional company I used (only used them once before, last year, but they have just sent me a yearly reminder card) I have a built in over and it cost £40. Im hoping it will be the same again this year. The company I used I think is just local to where I am and covers Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire.

I was absolutely amazed at how our oven turned out it looked like new. The guy even took the oven door off and cleaned between the 2 glass plates.

I promised myself that I would keep it clean after it was cleaned properly and just do regular wipe arounds myself but that didn't really happen :o

    HTH

On top of the few things I didn't finish last week I also need to :
    - Pick up DH coat from dry cleaners
    - Drop off bag of laundry at dry cleaners (washing machine is not working at moment and may be at least 3 weeks to order a replacement part  Luckily I have a voucher for 1 free laundry wash at dry cleaners so I'm taking advantage of this :D
    - Hand wash our smalls (!!!)
    - Change double bedding
    - Hoover
    - Finish work
    - Pop to waitrose
    - Make banana bread
    - Make fruit bread for DD after school snacks
    - Clean fish tank & buy new fish at pet shop

Hmm, think that's all for now. Will add more when I think of more !!
