Sun - Chicken & chorizo tray bake
    Mon - Curry
    Tue - HM doner kebabs
Wed - Sausage, egg, chips & beans
    Thur - Ranch pasties
    Fri - Stir Fry
    Sat - Moussaka

Just realised I've got 2 lamb-mince based meals and I'm not sure if I've got two packs - might have double counted! Still, I'll be back at the SMs next Sat for next weeks grub so I can always top up then.

Not sure what I was counting because there wasn't any lamb mince in the freezer! OH specifically requested doner kebabs so I had to do a bit of a top up shop and I've somehow filled the freezer with meat again! The order of the meals has been seriously re-jigged due to working late and going out and fitting in a trip to the SM but all meals this week so far have appeared on the plan. Going to be ranch pasties tonight and stir fry tomorrow.

Really need to do some eating out of the freezer next week. Both financially and to get a bit of freezer space back!

I am completely paralysed by indecision this week. I cannot put together a meal plan to save my life. I can't even decide what to eat for dinner tonight!

On Saturday, OH wanted to go to town to pick up some tools. As I didn't have a meal plan yet, I figured I'd make another trip later when I knew what I needed. Later OH remembered something else he wanted and we went out to the out of town shopping park. I figured rather than make a 3rd trip out, I'd just buy the sort of veg we usually get through and hope for the best.

So i'm confident that we have food in for the week but I still don't know what to have tonight. I didn't get anything out of the freezer this morning so whatever it is, its going to be something that can be cooked from the freezer!

Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to post a meal plan for the rest of the week...

    Evening all!
So far so good on the meal plan this week! :D I've baked loads and so far *touch wood* everything's been yummy! Tomorrow is roast chicken dinner (well SC chicken) and then Wednesday will be chicken leftovers in a mushroom sauce with rice which is the end of the week for us. I can't believe the week is almost over! We normally go to the supermarket every other day, so far we've only been once and that was purely for milk as we had run out. Hoorah for meal planning :)

I am still completely paralysed with indecision and an inability to motivate myself to inventory the freezer. I worked out on Monday that there were at least 3 things I the freezer that I know can be cooked from frozen (fishcakes, chicken kievs, a whoopsied chicked&leek slice) as well as a fair few HM "ready meals" which just need re-heating. So Monday I didn't defrost anything (ended up eating the whoopsied slice), Tuesday we had haggis (I was in the mood so go it out first thing). Today is going to be another attempt to see what is in the freezer that needs using up with the kievs or fishcakes (or sausage rolls or fishfingers that I've just remembered can be added to the list!) as fall back. There's nothing in the veg drawer in the fridge that urgently needs using so I've still got some flexibility in what we end up eating.

Who knew at the start of the year that I'd be struggling so much with "not meal planning". I'm sure we'll not go hungry and I'm definitely not going near the shops until weekend so we'll have to make do with what we've got in but I'm really stressed by the fact that I can't decide ahead of time what we're going to have!

I really should just pull my finger out :D

Have done all of April's mealplan but it's subject to change due to not knowing what veg I'll be getting each week in my veg box!

    Next week's plan from Sunday:

Sunday Roast chicken, roast pots, cabbage & broccoli, gravy
    Mon Chicken curry & rice
Tues Roast duck leg with Mediterrean veg gratin
Wed Spanish chicken (using small bits of LO roast chicken)
Thurs Spicy lamb & leek pie, mash & cabbage
Fri Chilli chard rice with buttered cashews
Sat LO pie, mash & any veg left in fridge!
