This is my fear also, because I want redundancy so badly it won't be offered to me :) #typical!

    Another walk through!

I've been busying myself writing a letter which I hope to be able to post out tomorrow. I am hoping to get somewhere in the region of £600 back once this letter is received so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

This will be a good chunk towards my £2k so a polite request is the order of the day.

I spent part of the afternoon looking through a 70's cookery book brought to work by one of the big boss controllers. Some of the recipes are so amusing, they are the type of dishes served by the parents at their dinner parties. There were a group of couples and they would take it in turns at being host and hostess.

I used to love it when it was our turn because I used to get samples of the food which normally entailed 4 courses. I was allowed a small glass of sweet cider so it was extra nice even if I did have to go to bed early. Best behaviour :) all the women wore long evening dresses and looked sophisticated, (money)!

I blame Robert Carrier and nouveau cuisine!

If I get a chance I will post up some of the stranger recipes and you will see what I mean :rotfl:

I do this NOW with my group of friends - started 20 years ago when children started making an appearance - we took the babies, then toddlers, then juniors then pre teens then sulky adolescents with us!! Children's ages range from 22 to 11 years in our group and they have all grown up together and some of their best memories are when we have been at each others houses for 'food gatherings' - dont do 70's cuisine though:eek: They are bring and share affairs and sometimes we even have a theme! Of course not so many children now but we regularly get together....dont get dressed up though:)

    How do you do :)

Well we're half way through September already! Where has this year gone? Soon be Christmas :j :santa2:

I love Christmas not for loads of pressies and too much food but because it's just a happy family time - awww.

Autumn is creeping up on us as well, I love Autumn :j it's a time for getting all snuggly and cwtchy with my gorgeous hubby :kisses2:

Other news, DS2 lost a front tooth today so he's waiting for a visit from the toothfairy :D

My current course comes to an end tomorrow :T to say it's been a nightmare is an understatement! I'm currently finishing off my end of module assignment and once that's out of the way then it's a matter of waiting for the result. Not expecting a lot but as long as I pass that's all that matters and it means I'll have completed my first year woo-hoo :T

Well another 1000 words to write :D

    Hello diary John :j

    Feeling much better today - woo-hoo :D

Sat here drumming fingers waiting for tomorrow. Payday for lovely husband so some of it will be coming my way so I can start saving for my £2000 by the end of November again!

I have identified 2 courses I want to do so that's £1510 to pay by the first week of January 2014. The final 2 courses start in October 2014 so next year is going to be busy, busy, busy!

Strict time management is the order of the day - yer right :rotfl:

Tell it to my 2 boys and nutty dawg.

Are you doing 120 credits a year? I tried that last year but with 4 modules and it failed with me withdrawing from 2. It did mean I learned what not to do and what subjects I'm better at.

Hi debrag, I'm stepping it up to 120 credits yes. I'm going to do 2x60 point courses though so hopefully it's a bit easier than 4x 30 - that would do my head in :D

    What courses are you doing?

I've spent the first year doing different courses so know what I enjoy and after this last social sciences course what I definitely don't! I want to do design and innovation at level 3 and environmental science at level 2 next.

Right need to save up for my next lot of torture :rotfl:
