Hello and what a lovely morning :j

Hoping to be able to get DH's car back today :T 3 clutches later because their supplier kept sending the garage the wrong clutch kit and it should be ready by lunchtime - woo-hoo :j.

I've lost 6 hours pay due to having to make extra trips because we were down to 1 car so not pleased about that, not pleased at the £612 cost either but such is life! I would have had £600 of my proposed £2k or more importantly I would have been able to register for my courses.

Never mind, it's just the joys of motoring :D another reason why I should be made redundant, we would only need one car!

    Have a lovely day :)

    Hello :hello:

Well the £612 turned out to be £619 in the end. Only £7 difference I know but even so I expect to pay what I was quoted. This is what happens when DH pays, he just accepts whatever he's told whereas I would have argued the toss especially seeing as though they had the car for 6 days, granted there was a BH but even so!

Never mind it's done now and I'm officially skint. We went to Tesco earlier to get school trousers and a pair of shoes. I would have preferred to go to Clarks but don't have the funds atm but at the first opportunity we will go there as DS1 has really narrow flat feet and I prefer that he has properly fitted shoes.

The trousers were a bit of a conundrum, I bought two lots exactly the same style, spec and colour and one lot were £7 and the other were £8. I didn't notice until we got to the checkout so I asked the lady on the till. She said she couldn't see any difference either so scanned the £7 ones twice. TY lovely lady :T. I got a £5 off voucher and a 33p voucher to spend next week. I'll make a list online to get as close to £40 as I can.

Youngest DS has been picking some blackberries out of the garden earlier so we'll make a pie tomorrow. I've got pastry in the freezer so should make a nice treat. I could make some tartlets for work. I've got rhubarb too but no idea what state it's in. Apples haven't done so good this year, I'll have to prune the tree this year.

OK, I've joined a challenge for September on another site so let's see if I can focus :D

Warning, Warning, this post contains gory details from a real life situation. If you are of a nervous disposition then DO NOT READ.

Ahh well dear diary John I need to be honest and admit to feeling really bad atm.

It's not due to money or lack of time, no those completely pale into insignificance, but because of a horrible occurrence which happened yesterday evening.

My poor, poor neighbours, I am really upset for them and it is making me feel ill, ill, sick and ill.

Please be OK, please be OK. :A

    Hello diary John :j

    Feeling much better today - woo-hoo :D

Sat here drumming fingers waiting for tomorrow. Payday for lovely husband so some of it will be coming my way so I can start saving for my £2000 by the end of November again!

I have identified 2 courses I want to do so that's £1510 to pay by the first week of January 2014. The final 2 courses start in October 2014 so next year is going to be busy, busy, busy!

Strict time management is the order of the day - yer right :rotfl:

Tell it to my 2 boys and nutty dawg.

    Afternoon :)

Went shopping yesterday and between DH and my self we ended up spending £180 - on what I do not really know *shrugs*

We brought home 8 bags of shopping but all seems to have disappeared and been eaten by the cupboards and freezers.

    Really odd!

After having a quick look in the pantry maybe it isn't as bad as I thought. There's enough to last a couple of weeks.

savings = £50 atm, not looking good, only £1460 to go.

  • I hope your neighbours are ok?

Food seems to disappear in this house too ! I hope nothing else crops up so you can get some savings in place for the courses :)

Hi dfw, the lady neighbour is home but the man neighbour is still in hospital in the high dependency unit having lost part of internal organs.

Lady neighbour was out last night but was ambushed by other neighbours so I haven't spoken to her yet.

Very bad all round as the whole family has been devastated :(

Re the savings, I really hope nothing else crops up either! Hoping to have redundancy news before Xmas, not sure if it will be announced before then though. Lots of small jobs are being taken away and nothing is replacing them so it's only a matter of time :)
