Hello and how are you today?

    Absolutely cracking!

Firstly let's begin with the financials seeing as though it's budget day:

I keep checking my mortgage account but the account info has been taken down whilst they update their online service, unfortunately this could take weeks. That's no good to me as I want to see my balance every day :rotfl:

I was discussing the new pension auto-enrolment with colleagues yesterday. I'm not in a pension and have no desire to be so the company will take money from me and then I have to opt out of the pension scheme, it's not possible to opt out before you are enrolled! I can't see the point in starting a pension as I don't intend on being with this company for any great length of time and I have other retirement fund plans :j I don't ever plan on being a 'pensioner' anyway, mature, senior or old yes, pensioner = nooooo!

    Now for the other news:

The' pot armed kid' had his cast off, he can have a proper bath now instead of having a black bin liner covering his arm each time :D

He needs to be careful for a few weeks and the arm might ache a bit but all should be fine, thank goodness.

Just been over to the LTW thread for March and mrsdee who is another poster over there has been speaking about a veg curry she made and it has given me really bad curry cravings! It will be curry night tonight now :)

My business course has come to an end, I still have my other course but I can't help feeling as though there is a big void to fill. I enjoyed the business course so might take this further. I cannot imagine what life will be like once my studies come to an end - it will be a very sad time. I will probably end up taking other courses just for fun and it would mean I could explore new areas, now that would be really exciting :T

I never cease to be amazed by the depths some people will go to in order to 'fluff their egos' to feather their nests, I know I have mentioned this before, but when seeing these people 'in action' I find it really funny :rotfl::D

Have a fabulous day because things are never as bad as they may seem :)

Well what do you know? I was only speaking of my mortgage details disappearing offline and I had a letter with a brand new mortgage account number :j

I need to set up a SO now for the payments and we're good to go :D I don't have any penalty for making overpayments of any size like some of their mortgages do, it's normally 10% but I don't have this clause in my contract so it's all good :T woo-hoo!

    Hello out there!

Well the standing order has sent money to the Halifax for the mortgage - so a small success lol :j

Recently I have mostly been dreaming of my eco-friendly carbon neutral life and have found a little piece of land that I would absolutely love to own :D I just need to have a wish come true and come into some money:

:A asking the Viking Gods to look favourably upon me:A.

I would love to live there and with my future studies I know I could help to make a big difference to the area to help my fellow humans.

This is going to be left in the laps of the Vikings and if they see me to be a fit candidate to make a purposeful contribution to their world then I will be accepted though I do expect an "acceptance by trial" to take place ;) If it's meant to be then it will happen.

    Other news;

Am having a really lazy week and recharging my batteries. This is an excellent time to not spend, my car will be filled up on Tuesday and I said previously/elsewhere that I want to stretch my budgeted money by an extra week so this should be possible this month taking me to the 1st April :D

OK, I'm going back to my dreams of my new life :A

Oooo I'd forgotten that a lot of people had had snow, we managed to escape it down here apart from the white mountain tops we've had nothing to mention.

    I'm sure you'll catch up Igamogam :D

We have light flurries of snow, and quite a bit of wintery sun here at the moment. I am very glad that we have escaped the worst of it (for now, anyway)!

Your 'new life' dreams sound lovely. I made a huge change to my life last year, and it is everything I hoped it would be. I hope you get the opportunity to build your dream life. I hope everyone does really.

    Hi Snaggles,

Thanks for your kind words and glad you are living the life you want to live :T

I really need to get away from the rat race and do something which will help others and not just myself :D

Hopefully there won't be too many bumps in the road ahead!

    Well hello out there......

    First the financial news:

There were minor savings made today, firstly DH went to the supermarket to buy chocolate eggs this morning before customer services was open. The shelf said one price but realised when he'd gone to the car that they cost £4 more. I contacted the sm and they said that even though the eggs were the higher price they'd send a £10 gift card as a goodwill gesture as I had already said I didn't want the children to see them.

I duly thanked them since this one gesture was going to save me grief and petrol so thank you sm cs person :A

The second saving was down to my not wanting to pay the 5p carrier bag charges so I took 3 bags saving myself a whole 15p :j I've put 15p into my loose change jar so happy days :)

Finally I paid off another £100 on the dratted car so that's 16% paid off only £2100 to go :rotfl:

    Other news:

I did compose a post yesterday but lost it and just couldn't be bothered to write it all again

Anyway, I need to get my hands on a few £k to buy my dream. I am busy sending out as many positive thoughts as I can but I absolutely do not want this money to come from an inheritance so I need to get my thinking cap on since swinging my shiny beads down Cardiff docks is out of the question :rotfl:

I am waiting for a gift from the Gods - I shall start with Ansuz and I shall wait and listen, thank you.

Youngest DS and myself went looking at small beasties from the river today under magnifying glasses and had a fantastic time. He really enjoyed it so we'll have to do this again :T

Hope everyone is having a great day, soon be April :j where has the first quarter gone? I think someone must have snatched whilst I wasn't paying attention :D

    Woo-hoo! It's April :j

Not much to report on the financial front, except I saved 15p on carrier bag charges :D I'm going to Tesco on Wednesday so shall do a little bit of "overground, underground" ;)

Well I have been patiently waiting for a sign and Ansuz has provided me with an answer :T thank you. I have been looking at vocational courses associated to my idea which is an option I could take. I have also realised that my original idea might not be the best idea so have taken this on board.

I really need for some money to come through to enable my dreams but this will need a little bit of patience too. I envisage all being signed and sealed by the end of the harvest (Jera) :j

I now need to focus on another rune - I shall choose Tiwaz and will wait for victory and justice to prevail. This will take a little time, probably 4 months or so.

Ah lovely, if I can pull this off then it will lead onto other things I want to do for the greater good of the community but I can't expect this to happen overnight. From small acorns and all that...

Hope everyone out there can have a crack at their dreams too.

    Heeeelllloooo! :j:j

Haven't posted since the first so thought I would give a little update seeing as though I had a FANTASTIC surprise waiting for me when I got home - woo-hoo! :T

I came home tonight and husband says " a letter came for you today, it's on the mantle".

"Oh what now, not another bill" I thought to myself.

I opened the white envelope to find a letter from the solicitor handling my car accident claim and attached to it is a cheque from the other side's insurance company for £1000 as an interim payment - yippee!:beer::beer::beer:

I have been speaking about doing some home improvements with husband just lately so this will help towards paying for a new gas boiler because once I've got that sorted I can set to work bashing the house about into something fabulous :)

    I am so grateful :A

Now I need to do a major declutter, and I mean major :rotfl:
