Hello and welcome to the month of Febulous February :j
So what can I tell you today then? Well I have received a bit of good news regarding a hp loan I have for one of the cars. The finance company have, after a lot of arguing on my part, decided to slash the amount I owe by 50% due to issues with the vehicle. So if I pay them 75% of what my lovely husband gives me each week then I hope to have this car paid off by the end of April :j:j
I have also checked my bank account today and the odd pennies I have paid over to my savings account each time my balance alters means I have managed to save £7.30 :T Once it gets to £10 I will withdraw it and pay it into my NS&I account which never gets touched.
Other news - I went to visit my friend last night with some of the girls and she seems to be bearing up much better than I expected. She is hurting inside but she is coping bless her. Life just isn't fair sometimes  sending her positive thoughts to give her strength.
And that is the news today
Absloutely Febulous - and this month sees us getting more money per day than other months due to only having 28 days though most won't benefit until MarchKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
Hello my darlings
So what did we do today then?
Firstly youngest son went to a birthday party which was a joint affair hosted between 3 children in his class - so 3 birthday cards and 3 lots of money _pale_ so there went some of my 50p's out of my savings. Never mind he enjoyed himself :T
I checked my clubcard vouchers online and my new total has been added so I have £27.50 in there. I cannot make up my mind what to do with them - do I buy food or do I save them? I think I shall wait until there is an offer with cc and see, otherwise I could use them for school uniform. Decisions, decisions
Got my LTW sorted for tomorrow so I am ready for the start of a new week!
OK off to read my hororscope to see if I'm in line for some money

Well helloooo out there :j
I've been busy all week either writing my marketing assignment or preparing for court. Blah-blah lots of words blah-blah more words blah-blah.
I have resurrected my old mortgage free wannabe thread - mortgage free in 5 years - you can see the theme lol. My constant 5 year plans. Anyway I had completely forgotten about it and hadn't realised I started it 3 years ago! So now my aim is to be MF in 2 years, I've no idea if I will do it but if I don't try then I will never know. Besides I think my job will disappear within the next 2 years (I suspect much sooner if I'm honest) so I need to kick the mortgage into touch.
On a serious note, I saw a film the other night called Dreams of a life. It's about a woman who had died in her flat in London and had remained undiscovered for almost 3 years. The lady was called Joyce Vincent and she led a strange life really. She left school without qualifications but ended up working in the Treasury dept for Ernst and Young and was responsible for moving millions of pounds around for the company. It was a very moving film and the only reason she was eventually discovered was because she had rent arrears and the housing association broke in to repossess the property.
Very sad state of affairs. If you get a chance to see it then it's worth a watch, there are a lot of interviews with past acquaintances to build up the picture of her life.
Oh my I have been a bit serious tonightmake the most of life
Enjoy your evening  and don't forget it's Valentine's day on Thursday. It is Newleaf you are correct.
Unfortunately for Joyce I think she felt she could never go back and if she had then she could very well be alive and settled down as we speak.Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
Hello my lovelies
According to my stars I am supposed to be getting a flash of inspiration on Wednesday which will give me the idea to start my own business :T (though it will be slow to start it will really take off in the latter part of the year) Very interesting, but I must not share my idea apparently because someone will nick it before I get started. Secret Squirrel will be my nick-name
Anyway back to the real world  I thought I might do my meal plans tonight. I was thinking a two week plan - you've gotta have a plan. One night a week will have to be vegetarian for the whole family, so that'll be cheese and potato pie then!
Just to let you know that I bought smart price rice pudding to try the other day @12p a can. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised so it will be a repeat purchase in the future.
I need to buy a sack of spuds as well.
On a more humorous note, the other night I could hear my lovely husband talking to me whilst we were in bed. He was telling me how beautiful he thinks I am etc so I repeated back to him the next day what he'd said. "In your dreams" was the reply, which probably is the truth
Watching Emmerdale tonight, Katie has left Declan so I turned to DH and said "See that's what happens when you don't tell your wife how beautiful she is" :rotfl: He mumbled something under his breath :rotfl:I loves him really :kisses3:

So what's the scores on the doors today then?
It's been a bit of a sticky tricky day today. Put lovely husband's car in the garage today before I went to work. It had been booked in for its MOT however the garage had experienced an equipment problem which VOSA need to sort so had it pre-tested instead.
I was quoted £300 for new disks and pads all round  however when I picked the car up the amount had altered and it was only £240 as one set of disks didn't need changing after all :T It still needs MOT-ing though so it's booked in for later this week.
My stars did say I'd be spending money on travelLet's see what inspires me tomorrow :j
Always look on the bright side of life peeps and don't forget that there are whole countries out there going bankrupt so your personal debt is like a grain of sand in the bigger scheme of things :money:Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
Woo-hoo
evening all!
Have I had the best day today, it involved just vegging out in my pj's :j I love my jamas.
well, well, well I really should have more faith in Russell GrantI did indeed get my flash of inspiration whilst watching children's tv with ma boys  I must now keep it to myself :silenced: but I will say it's ultra environmentally friendly  just need to find an application for my idea
Other news, I checked on my mortgage balance and it has remained the same for 2 days so I am not quite sure what is happening with that *shrugs* I shall have to keep my beady eye on it :rotfl:
The husband's car is going in for its MOT tomorrow but once it's done it's done - phew.

Hello, hello. hello my lovely diary >x< mwah
Well what news to tell today then? After spending all of my money on husband's car my washing machine decided to pack up. I think the bearings have gone so it is kaput. I'm not too bothered tbh as it cost me nothing and had it from new which was 8 years ago to the month
So I've been washing machine viewing, but I can't buy one until Saturday at the earliest. Never mind it's one less job to have to do :rotfl:
The OU sent me a cool email earlier asking if I wanted to apply to be an Oxjam coordinator. You have to organise a jamming session for Oxfam to raise money for them. It's a good idea and if I'm honest I am tempted to help out. I have a little while to think about it yet, it all depends on my forthcoming workloads.
I could raise money for charity as my main job as it's something I love doing, and have quite a knack for making money from rubbishand I really do mean rubbish and unwanted items. I am creating a masterpiece as we speak and the market for my art is starting to come to life, albeit slowly but surely, and they say that slow and steady wins the race so I need to be patient which is not a natural quality I possess
Ah well, all the little signposts are there to guide me along my journey :T
The final thought for today is just ask yourself 'how can I make a difference today?' Have fun with this

Morning - just
Well this morning has been eventful!
My elder son came out of school yesterday complaing that his wrist and hand hurt as he'd had a fall at lunchtime. I let him go through the night thinking it might be a bad sprain but no, this morning his arm was a little more swollen than the other so off to A&E we went.
He's broken his arm, love him, and now sports a temporary cast or pot as we call them up North :rotfl:He has to go back to the fracture clinic on Monday to have a permanent cast put onto his arm.
He's happy enough now and wants to show his school friends his new cast when he goes back to school tomorrow
I phoned the school when we returned and the head teacher didn't know he'd fallen yesterday so would look into the matter and get the care-taker to check the yard and this will need reporting as a RIDDOR accident.
So that's our day so far, hoping there will be no more emergencies
If you do nothing else today then have a good old laugh about something, no matter how stupid it will make you feel betterKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000
