Work free day today - wonderful, excellent
Financials first:
At last I am able to view my mortgage account :j it gives me loads more info than I used to get and gives me an actual figure for the amount of interest charged for that particular month ie March = £30 odd and looks like it's applied on the last day of the month.
Good I will know where I am, it's under £12k now so I need to get cracking with the overpayments - however (and I blame the net for this) I really want to make some improvements as I said above so the overpayments will come from the small savings I can make here and there.
Other news:
I am slowly gathering items to shove on ebay and I have come to a decision about my Welsh dresser, it's a sell. I need to clear it out yet thoughso it won't be for a couple of weeks yet as I'm starting my declutter from top to bottom. My youngest son has a thing for shoes it would seem and @ £30 a go from Clarks I will make a little bit of money back since most are little worn.
He takes after husband because he likes to shop whereas I have a pair of shoes for work, a pair of DM boots which I wear otherwise and a pair of bootee slippers for in the house.
I despair of my youngest son sometimes because he wants to be James Bond and he says my eldest son who is really good at science can be his engineer and create devices for James Bond (him) to use and they will both be famous. I have no idea where he gets all of his ideas from.
And finally:
I have been busying myself clearing out my eldest son's bedroom - what a nightmare, he is quite literally like old Mr Trebus the man who had a house in London but could only use 6' square of it due to hoarding. How we're not infested by mice I will never know
:rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway, things to do and all that, l8ers :jKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
How-do
So I paid my cheque into the bank today :j I am now making plans for my house, walls to be knocked down, doors to be blocked up, a new bathroom and kitchen blah-blah-blah words things and more words. I have a man coming to give me some quotes next week.
My eldest son who's bedroom I have cleared out has asked if he can have a new bin - that's what I call a result :rotfl:I just need to get the husband and youngest son to get their decluttering heads on and we will be the tidy family (I don't think )Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
Well hello my lovely 5 year plan diary :rotfl:
Public information announcement:
In times of recession there will always be people lurking in the background just waiting to produce a counterfeit, and I must add, inferior product to the original.
There is a school of thought which thinks that copying is a form of flattery but I just think that they are the talentless, free-loaders of society - so be warned everyone. If it sounds cheap and it looks cheap then guess what? Yep it is cheap
Next the financial news:
I'm waiting for my cheque to clear, I expect it will be available on Wednesday to draw against without comebacks so a big fanfare - woo-hoo :j
I must admit I do struggle with the concept of money if I am honest - it's hard to believe in something which does not exist, well not without any debt.
I shall perhaps speak of this more in the future but for now Ice Road Truckers are on and it's one of my fave programmes

Good evening all
Firstly financial news:
Upon checking my bank account there is a message from the Cooperative to say that when there are direct debits due to leave my account that customers have until 12pm (mid-day) to make sure enough money is in the account. Previously the money had to be in the account the night before so this is a good step in the customer friendly direction :T
Other news:
As you know I am currently thinking of doing my home up and I have found the most loveliest kitchen. It's 2nd hand but looks fantastic and I would never be able to afford it brand new so I am sorely tempted.
I have been looking at waterproof wallboards for the kitchen instead of tiles as I thought these would be better for my pre-fab walls what with them not being made of brick. I'm also tempted by a waterproof flooring which acts like lino but you lay it like laminate and it is completely waterproof once properly laid.
I will have to see what happens
Hope everyone is feeling happy :rotfl:Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
Well hello to my lovely diary :smileyhea
It's streeeeeeetch timeyes folks it's time to stretch the money.
This month my money allowance began on the 1st April, in May it will begin on the 7th thereby stretching it by a week. I put the last of my petrol money into my car today - £30 of it so I should be able to get to the 7th if I am careful with my guzzling 26mpg car.
I expect to see my idea on other threads since there are some who constantly nick ideas - even thread names I see - without any reference to the originator mainly due to their incapability to come up with their own ideas I imagine. I will be watching
Other news;
OO-oo I am so very happy at the minute, I passed my last course so that's another qualification under my belt - woo-hoo :j and upon completion of my current course I will gain another qualification. Life is full of interesting stuff :T
Also after 3 years of my CH not working it is finally up and running. It still needs a new part but it's possible to use atm. Thank you to the nice plumber chappie :T
Now to source a job lot of Kingspan(other brands are available).

Woooooo-hooooooo it's May :j:T:j
The sun is shining, it's warming up and the feel good factor is creeping upon me
Following on from my previous thread I shall be placing an online food shopping order to be delivered on 7th May so no shopping for food until then for me :T
I will need to do an inventory of shelves and cupboards because I seem to have amassed a glut of curry sauce for some reason *shrugs* I'll have to see what is on offer.
OK time to face the music and go into DS2's bedroom, it's a bit of an "enter at your own peril" sort of room :rotfl:Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
It seems my food glut has expanded to baked beans as well - whoopsies lolKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000

Hello lovely diary - I really should come up with a name for you, I will have to put my thinking cap on
Well as you know I am stretching my budgets as far as they will go so tomorrow sees me taking delivery of my online food shop from Tesco. The added bonus is that I will qualify for 10p off a litre of petrol so I can top my car up. I can't get too excited though because for a large estate car I can only get about £67 in it from empty. It has an incredibly small tank for the size of car which is a bit odd. Husband's car is an estate too but that seems to have an unfillable tank - very peculiar.
I know the petrol I have in my car atm will last me for this week so I'll take the £100 out of the bank tomorrow and keep it until I need it.
Back to work tomorrow - lovely jubbleyKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
After thinking of many fantastical names like Temperance, Providence and Verity I have decided to name you, my dearest of diaries, John.
Yes a bit boring some might say but it is a solid and dependable name and has 4 letters so is well balanced.
So hello John, may we spend many happy stories togetherKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -

Remember to put complete litres in ................so many times I see people only put 20.7 or .8 or .9 etc - squeeze it in to max benefit - every little helpsBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
