Welcome to all the newbies! and a big hello to all of those coming back for more after the 2012 challenge ;)

I've just written my draft household budget for next year  Strange to see the surplus in there after we expect to have the debt clear in the spring. Exciting too :D I've put in provisional budgets for a holiday, and to have the bathroom and kitchen 'done'. Amazing feeling to know we can plan for these things without the guilt of thinking the cost will sit on a credit card for months to come

Looking forward to the boost that the new year should give us all. ;)

Welcome to Debtslayer (we've got two debtslayers now on adjacent numbers! :j), Pauliedoodle, Happy pixie and fluffpuff

And welcome over affordmylife, I've put you on the list so let me know when you've got your figures sorted out.

Ran into work today then ate so much chocolate that I've cancelled it out! NEver mind, hoping to have a NBD and just eat soup and salad (craving salad so badly after all that stodge!) so might feel healthier after a run to work tomorrow too.

DH got a letter from egg about PPI (we sent them in the same envelope) last week saying he never had PPI :o but I had a letter today saying they are investigating it so looks promising :j

I dug out an old tiramundi pot, and found notes inside it's - does anyone *cough* jakes-mum*cough* know how to get them out without smashing?

Turn upside down, pair of tweezers and loooooooooooooooots of patience :rotfl: they will come out just need a bit of *jiggling* :D

Helloooooooooooooooo newbies  (and oldbies :D:rotfl::D)

no update for me yet as savings money goes in on 1st of each month and I dont have anything else to chuck in there at the minute :o. Been out looking at the sales and spent a mahoosive £36 on a new bedding set . . . . in cash  I had real cash in my pocket . DH and I have decided that now we are debt free we will buy one item off the *wish list* every month with money from the bank to get the house sorted :D this month is the bedding, next month is new blinds for the living room :D which im hoping to get next week as they are all in the sales and we need them made to measure ;)

Hoping doing it this way will keep us in the black as it will just be little spends each month rather than spending out thousands and then wondering where the moneys coming from :D

That is such a good idea :T I hope to be debt free before Easter but want to make sure I keep on track and don't go mad buying all the stuff I have 'not been buying' for the last year!
