That is such a good idea :T I hope to be debt free before Easter but want to make sure I keep on track and don't go mad buying all the stuff I have 'not been buying' for the last year!

Off to find a pad & pen to write a wish list ......

I totally recommend a wish list to anyone nearing the finish line, it really helps give you a push as you realise these wants are within your grasp. We put everything on ours from a new car right down to new tea mugs and then re-wrote it in order of necessity, so top of the list was the topper for our bed as all the springs had come through our mattress and a new bed was over £1K , the car is last as though it is needed, our baby does still run (though sometimes jumps out of gear) and is what we are saving for this year in the challenge :D

Oooh lovely. I have GHDs (bought them back in the day before money was tight *sighs wistfully*) and they are fab but very boring...gold ones would be fabulous.

    Well done lemonpop! :T

  • Please could I join? I did sign up for the 'Debt Free by Xmas 2012' but failed miserably (we actually managed to INCREASE our debts!). However, in December I successfully got a new job. Start on 2nd January and it is a fairly significant salary increase so in 2013 we have no excuses and clearing the debts is No.1 priority. We will still need to watch the pennies and 'chip away' at our debts! Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and 'GOOD LUCK' for a "debt-free 2013". Can I be in for £6,000?

    Thanks Spag x
I know I live in the sticks and I'm also a bit thick but GHD's have completely missed my radar (what are they/ is it?) :o

Also J-M I love the idea of a wish list, think I might sit down with hubby and draw one up. Ours will probably include work on our house which will be way down the running order because of the cost  Did you get your mattress topper? That'll be on our list too.

  • GHDs are hair straighteners lemon :D I'm still lurking on the thread - At the moment I'm just clearing off my wedding spends (trying the 1% at a time thing which sounds really good at £4 a time! :D)
