Hi can I join your challenge too, I am notoriously bad at maintaining with challenges, but hope to make 2013 the year to start becoming financially organised
I may be a bit of a fraud though as my final car and credit card payment will be made on 31st of Dec when I get paid. Thanks to motivation from fellow poster on this site.
I hope to use this thread to enable me to save and pay down my mortgage which comes off its fixed rate in June.
The extra money from my loan has already disappeared into this years budget, and somehow no matter how much or little I earn it all ends up spent by the end of the month
So I would like to set myself a challenge to overpay £2000 extra off my mortgage this year. The first payment will come off the mortgage in June when my fixed rate finishes.

I borrowed 7000 pounds because my savings were such a miserable failure last year (was debt free in June 2011but seem to suck at saving!) and I really need to pay for my Masters and an operation I need.
any how I need to pay it off as soon as possible.

Hello all!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas however you spent it. After a slightly wine-fuelled discussion with Hubby on Christmas night, I have convinced him we can have our big holiday paid off AND kick my CC into touch by June IF we make a real effort to curb our spending and budget well. Fingers crossed x0 -
