Hello waywardbird and nctmum, nice to have you here CW2 and glad you like your number choclover :j
Just back from the outlaws...just about survived but now need a serious drink to steady my nerves
Back to work tomorrow  DH is at home with the kids so I'm going to run in, it's only about 3 miles there. Need to run off all this food anyway and will save a few pennies :money:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

I got some lovely presents, fleecy pyjamas, fleecy cover, hot water bottle (is this a hint?) Some money for then sales, and a garden weather station (not the humongous ones), which I am geekily excited about!
Paid another £350 off, which means I now have a total of #17 £2971/3486 =85.23%
I owe just £515 now, and could have this paid off by end of January if I live the most frugal January and February possible!
Loving the sound of your pressies, I swear by my fleecy jimjams. Go for frugal and kick the debt butt!! Chickpea curry for a month should do it :rotfl:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Has anyone seen the adverts for the Dryathlon, giving up booze in Jan? I thought it sounded good, would help some of us save money perhaps and raises money for charity. Only problem is it's my birthday in Jan!!
So is anyone going to try it?
Perhaps we could do NBDs (no booze days) in addition to NSDs? I might commit to 25 NBDs in Jan :rotfl:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

Me and OH was talking about this - we may well give it a go
February 2021 GC £301.45 / £300.00
March 2021 GC £266.41 / £280.00
April 2021 GC £53.19 / £300.000 -
Haha spag I don't think my housemates would thank me for that! But I guess cheap soups for a couple of months may help the waistline too!
A dryathlon would be really popular at my work, but i won't be back until the 7th of Jan to mention it! Is it just January that people are doing it? I might join in, I'll save about £10 on wine, but then I'll just owe £505!
I dug out an old tiramundi pot, and found notes inside it's - does anyone *cough* jakes-mum*cough* know how to get them out without smashing?0 -
Can I join? I'm a complete newbie on this challenge but a long-time lurker on the forums. I've learned a lot over the years but I think this challenge will really help me. My total is:
