  • Evening all :D

Being back at work full time is NOT going well this week - I think knowing that I'm leaving soon has made it worse as well, I feel like I shouldn't be there anyway and am just sooooo fed up of running round like an idiot because there are not enough staff and just ARGH!!

But anyway *ahem* I always spend extra when I'm fed up, and have gone out for lunch twice this week with my OH now (obviously not as MSE as taking a ham sandwich but I needed to escape work for an hour!) so am going to try and get myself some really yummy things for lunch next week so I'm not as tempted to run off to the pub - plus I'll be sorting my new passport this weekend anyway so probably can't afford to!

Another two weeks until payday - would be nice to know how much I'll be getting paid so I can work out how how much of a train pass I can afford for my new travels around Yorkshire for my new job! :D

it's in the kitchen! it's part of what i think looks like an extension so i'm wondering if it's even got insulation. the LL turned down insulating the loft last month (it's got 60cm in it atm) so i think he's probably done it all on the cheap.. we are renewing our lease on saturday (don't want to but no choice) so i'm going to show them the photos and ask them if they could do something about it cos its affecting my chest.

i think i'm gonna ask OH to bleach it tomorrow. it's making my chest bad just being ni there let alone trying to wash it!

here's the other part of the wall! http://i50.tinypic.com/15ev6fd.jpg
From looking at it and previous tenancies, I would say that is more a condensation issue than a leak one. If your landlord won't do anything about it and your health is being affected you can go to environmental health about it, my ex had to go to the council about a similar issue many moons ago.

Do you use an extractor fan when you're cooking & boiling water?

Well OH has annoyed me a little, he just said implied I'm being controlling :( All I did was hide the chocolate fingers!!! If I didn't he would have eaten them, and they're not even open he just saw them and thought "oooh see food, eat food". So I told him that I've hidden them and he can have them in his lunchbox. Am I being too controlling??? He already ate all the olive slices I made so he hasn't got one for tomorrow!!! He didn't even know what he was going to take to uni tomorrow as he'd eaten all the leftovers and didn't think to make enough of tonights dinner to take tomorrow....so I made him some lemon rice with steamed broccoli and sweetcorn. However, that was before the implication of me being controlling, so now I feel a right mug and under appreciated! Hrumph!!! MEN!

Although, have just done yoga DVD so feeling very relaxed, night all :)

  • Feeling a bit demotivated today not sure why really considering I've made some positive progress on the debt front although waiting until the end of the month to post. Also managed to negotiate with my beautician that I might be able to help her out with a few things and I'll get a free facial! Not sure why I feel fed up?? Any one else struggling today??

Ahhhhh.... well it's still amazing and I am also ridiculously relived that I'm not the worse debt payer off'er ever by not paying anything yet!!!

I'm the same ... Captain Zero. Thank heavens it's nearly payday. I'm on the brink of toppling into overdraft so the token £1 isn't even going to happen :(

Me too. The plan is that once we are DF, I'm going to drop my hours at work.

Ahhh thank you! I've been a lucky girl, the kids got me a Pandora Bead and DH some running socks, gloves etc. :T:j

Can I be a real bore and ask you (and everyone!) to update with your number and the amount paid off so far rather than individual payments please as that's what I record on my spreadsheet! Thank you :)

I used to work full time with night shifts, my take-home salary has dropped by about a half but I actually am better off as I have less childcare costs, less travel costs, I spend less on food as I have more time to cook from scratch and source bargains, I "need" to get takeaways less as I feel less stressed time-wise.

All those years of struggle just to pay for things that enabled me to struggle!
