I don't know about you lot, but I'm always the sort that thinks my boss and colleagues all think I'm an incompetent, slow, waste of space, and can't wait to send me back to the scrap heap! I got a copy of my one year review today though, and was pleasantly surprised, so feeling nice and positive today :j I hope HR/payroll think the same way!

Completely forgot, but my expenses were transferred today. They haven't arrived in my account yet but I decided to pay off another £50 and 'reimburse' myself when the funds come through.

    #17 £3161/3486 = 90.68%

Spagbol, I feel like I keep creating so many updates for you, but I'm too excited to hold off on them! :rotfl: I don't think I'll be able to find any more money until payday though.

No keep updating! I love it! I would update every day if I could :)

    Well done, over 90% :T:j

Eww that's not nice, have you tried to clean it? The walls are probably quite damp if it's from the water leak. You could try a dehumidifier if anyone you know owns one to try to dry the walls out a bit. Although my experience of walls like that is they have to redo the brickwork where it's yucky. Is it in a bedroom?

it's in the kitchen! it's part of what i think looks like an extension so i'm wondering if it's even got insulation. the LL turned down insulating the loft last month (it's got 60cm in it atm) so i think he's probably done it all on the cheap.. we are renewing our lease on saturday (don't want to but no choice) so i'm going to show them the photos and ask them if they could do something about it cos its affecting my chest.

i think i'm gonna ask OH to bleach it tomorrow. it's making my chest bad just being ni there let alone trying to wash it!

Don't worry, I brought forward my total from last year, so this is the result of 10 months of hard work! It's tough getting off the starting block, but go for the £1 - it's nice to see a % paid off.

can someone tell me what the difference is between mould caused by damp and mould caused by condensation??? is there a difference?

If I were to guess damp caused by condensation is more to do with circulating air e.g vent brick or extractor. Where as damp is more to do with a leak water seaping in. Can't say if there is any diff in the actual mould.

  • I have 2 old mobiles here, but one is only worth £2 on a mobile site. Does anyone know if any supermarkets are giving points for old mobiles still? Otherwise I think I'll stick it in the charity phone bin at work.

we had a water leak in Oct and was left with damp patches on the walls (no mould). sent pics to the agency they said LL said he will fix it up in the spring. atm my walls are pretty gross!

http://i45.tinypic.com/2h7ewbt.jpg and the plaster has cracked here too, i'm a bit worried about it!

That doesn't look very nice for you - especially if its effecting your chest. I'd wipe it all down with diluted bleach which should kill off any spores and make it easier on the eye. Hope you feel better soon x

I haven't paid anything off yet either and I'm counting the days to payday when I can!! I made my budget this month soooo tight I have no money atall to make a token payment. I also have a horrible feeling I may need to adjust my debt up a little due to 'forgotton about' xmas expenses!!! :o I need to check CC statement. Overall at the end of Jan it should be below what it is now :)

We have a CEX shop here and I use that. Its not the most pleasent experience standing in their queue but I got better money than the online sites.
