I sold my house in May and although I lost all my original equity £50k I did at least cover all my debts. I will have to stay in the rental sector now. I also am in the process of quitting my present stressful job and hope to find something simpler and less anxiety inducing in 2014.
Good luck to everyone, Merry Christmas and agreat 2014 X

Hi Choclover, good to see you
Right guys, I have been having a think....
I'd really like to go for this in 2014, and what better way to stay on track then to start the new thread off.
I am more than happy to become the admin for the thread but I would need help with percentaged and spreadsheets, these are not my forte.
I am happy to take over updating and doing roll of honours though
Let ,e know what you guys want to do. I have not been very focused on this in 2013 and I want to get back on track. Having to look after the thread would really help me with that.
If you would all like me to do this, the new thread will be set up on boxing day eve or on the 27th December :xmastree:Don't turn a slip up into a give up

Quite plainly, would you normally eat 5 pieces of fruit for breakfast? I never used to count calories in fruit, but an apple has around 80 calories in it, so if you blend up 5 of those, you're sneaking 400 calories in.
its about the same for 2 pieces of toast and a cuppa with milk and sugar though, which is what i normally have  i have been splitting the smoothies in half so technically i'm only eating 2.5 :rotfl:
methinks i need to see the dentist in the new year! i've got wisdom teeth coming in and i think they may be impacted.0 -

Hello
I will be back in 2014 to pay off the loan I got to cover my Mum's debts. I have not been overpaying on the loan due to Christmas (I have only made 2 payments so far), but I want to get it gone by the end of June next year.
Everyone has done really well this year xx
I am so pleased I found this thread at the end of last year, because if I hadn't, I would still be making minimum payments on credit cards and buying stuff from mail order catalogues and never actually reducing the debts. I still look at my credit record and think something is missing! there are things missing, all the credit accounts I had

Yes, that would be great! I'm happy to do it, but know I will go AWOL for a few weeks at some point, and don't want the thread to suffer. I am definitely a whiz (well whizzy enough) at spreadsheet. I know someone else offered (don't want to say who, because if I'm remembering the wrong person, I'll give someone a shock!)
I really need to sit down and have a good think about my challenges for next year too. I want to set a target somewhere between being able to live a little and squeezing blood for a stone.0 -
I have quite a bit to pay off still! Car is about £4k on its own ... that's my first target. Then I'm planning to pay off my OUSBA loan. After that, it should be a piece of cake because I'll be £200 a month better off!0

Same! and same with the AWOL, I wouldn't want to be on my own running it but I am happy to have the front pages, I would make my email bug me with instant notifications so that I didn't miss things
Anyone else if you want in let me and minicooper know
Is Kerri about? Or has she popped off to have her baby, I didn't think she was due yet, maybe she is nesting though :rotfl:Don't turn a slip up into a give up
