next year... there will be no lending of money or items belonging to me/my O/H. had two garden chairs essentially stolen by some "friends"... they've moved away without giving them back despite us asking for them a couple of weeks ago! the cheek of it. i'm feeling quite upset about it. they're only chairs but it's the principle.
  • :j I've been recommended for promotion today :j

It was due anyway, it's related to how long I've been with the company more than anything else, but it's still nice!

Thanks for the offer to help with admin - I am not sure what it means really :rotfl: I think it just means that when I write the first few posts, I give others the right to edit them, and that means I can hand over the spreadsheet and someone else can update the front page. At the moment, all I do is update the spreadsheet and Spag is the only one that can update the front page totals. I will investigate and let you know!

I thought last year the thread was set up around the 27th? I will be finished with work on the 20th, so will set it up some time between then and Christmas.
  • Congratulations on the promotion Minicooper.

    And congratulations armchairexpert.

Getting prepared for the next push in the new year.

I agree, I need to have a big de-clutter too. Wish I had ever owned anything size 10 to give away though :rotfl:

I have quite a lot of clothes that I don't want to get rid of but don't wear often enough to justify all the drawer space... I think I feel a new years resolution coming on to stop buying things until the old one falls apart (and not replace half of them).
  • Well I have looked back at this year, and paying off my debt was a massive fail - I've doubled it instead.

I've refinanced my credit cards to put almost everything on a 0% deal for the next 2.5 years, and now have a new job that means (theoretically) I should be in a good position to start paying everything off. It won't get shifts in a year, but I plan on being one of the first through the door when the 2014 thread starts up…
