i have sorted my "plan of action" for next year. i will be re-joining the 2014 thread to clear a few bits and bobs that i didn't want to pay off this year, including my new course fees...
i'm planning to aim for 6 months to clear the lot then i will only be left with my car
i need to figure out what i want to do with the car actually but we will cross that bridge when we get to it, a lot can happen in a year! i can either clear the balance and own the car, give the car back with nothing further to pay, extend the monthly payments til the balance is paid and then i own the car, or part exchange for something bigger. decisions decisions. i think number 2 is not a option, i am currently leaning towards 1 or 4... mostly towards 1, but could be 3 if needs be.0 -

My current housemate used to live in London too, and she said it was the sort of place where it's very easy to live cheaply if you want to (always something free to do somewhere), but there are certain things that do cost a lot more. I've never lived in London myself though (or a very big City) so I can't really compare either, I just got a shock from a few things! I'd probably say prices were around 20-30% higher than I'm used to (and I think they're expensive where I am now too!)AdmiralAsda wrote: »Is it too late to join? Hi AdmiralAsda - it's not too late to join at all! I will sort out a number for you, but hope you can bear with me. I've just taken over the thread last week, and am still getting familiar with the spreadsheet. Will get a number as soon as I can. Can you let me know how much you have to pay off?0 -

So here are my latest figures for this challenge.
#020 £15,900.81/£16,500
I'm chuffed as I now know that I can pay off more than the planned £16,500 by Christmas that I was aiming for at the beginning of this year. Unfortunately this won't quite make me debt free, so I will be back next year. I have a big birthday coming up next April and have every intention of being debt free before then! The plan for now is to see how much more I can pay off before the end of this challenge. Then work out exactly what is left to pay off next year.
Good luck to everyone in the final push before Christmas 2013.Paid off £16,715/£16,550 by Christmas 2013Now to pay off all remaining debts by Christmas 2014Total to pay #041 £7,086.97/£16,500Only £9,413.03 to go :eek:0 -
