We've got kale growing away in the garden at the moment, I bought a constant garden from rocket gardens and planted it a few weeks back, well OH did. Waiting for it all to get a bit bigger before we can start eating yummy winter greens though, but the salad looks almost ready

if it grows fairly quick an doesn't need much help it might be a good option for me :D i've got a large garden and so plenty of space for pots

We dug up the lawn when we moved in, the garden lawn was split in two by a wiggly path so chose the largest bit. When we move out we'll lay to lawn, but for now it's growing space :)

    Still no baby!!

DH has had two job offers :j:j:j:j:j:j:j He starts one on Monday, both employers were very understanding about our situation and that he might only be there one day before having to take some unpaid leave :rotfl::rotfl: Sadly he won't get any SPP :(

Great news for your oh Spagbol. Really pleased for you xx

  • Oh I've gotten so lethargic about filing away my money lately! Have just done it all now for the first time since August. All money left in my purses are in the correct money jars, all savings to the ISA and my emergency fund is present and correct.

    My update for the month:
    #141 £2175/3250 = 66.92%

I think I'll be able to get to 75% by Christmas, which will be fantastic.

I hope I have managed to capture all updates up to now, so will send the spreadsheet to Spag to update the front page. If your amount isn't right after her update, let me know!

Oh and today he has been paid what he was owed from his old job, this means only 2 weeks unpaid so far with whatever he takes off after baby left to go. Freelance work should cover that shortfall so all bills will be paid, we just won't have made much of a dent on this challenge :( At least we'll be no worse off though :T and will start 2014 on a mission!

Great news about the OH Spag! And I am happy that all your bills will be OK, don't worry about this challenge, I am glad that you will be here next year :j

Spagbol - hopefully bubs wont be too long now. My sister in law gave birth last night - i have an adorable little niece!

Sorry to hear about your bikes amr.

  • Aww congrats on the new niece Jonesy88!! A lovely Halloween baby - you will have no problems remembering her birthday!

Well done on breaking half way too!
  • Congrats on your niece Jonesy :j:j:j

Popping on to report that I paid off and closed my warehouse storecard today! :j

I also recently paid off and closed my C1 card which I have had since I went travelling!! so happy that has gone.

So...although the debt situation is not very much improved, at least I improved it enough to get some balance transfers and also managed to make some extra payments on the smaller debts so the snowball effect will start to show soon I hope.

I am going to wait until the 2014 thread now to declare the bcard debt and aim to be debt free by Xmas 2014. Hopefully I will be able to clear my smaller bcard before xmas then that will leave me with just 2 ccards and the O/Draft to pay off. Much more manageable for me to have bigger chunks coming out than lots of little debts.
Topshap card to pay off and close before xmas too to achieve this, Fingers crossed!! :D
