Hooray, we have ordered a fridge freezer finally. I don't have to worry about that anymore!

I am feeling very anxious at the moment, it's not a nice feeling :( I have a stressful week at work ahead but it doesn't end there as Iwill be really busy until the end of November. I would take a week off when it's all over but as it'll only be another 3 weeks until Christmas (flippin heck) I might as well just stick it out and have a longer break then, which I am :D

  • My MSE side has had to take a seat from the shock after a visit to London yesterday. I was chatting to a few locals about the cost of living, it's nuts - they're not phased by much of it. Nearly an hours pay for 1 drink, they said to go home with change of £100 was a great achievement  (of course, i went home with a lot more change than that, incl food, train fare, taxi and underground :p) It's a great place to visit though, and we had a great MSE holiday there once (filling our days with only free things).

After this visit I will seriously need to tighten up my month - Christmas to pay for (November already, seriously?!?) and I do need to put aside some money to help me pay for things over my 2 week Christmas break.

tell me about!! i guess the wages in london match the cost of living though? i live on a popular commuter route so if ever iwant to change jobs london would be a very real option if the salary was right. it would be £725 a month travel with 1-6 though!!! flippin heck. probably still cheaper than living in london...
  • I don't know, we were discussing it. I think you either work as a professional in London, and the wages make up for it, or you decide you really want to live in London and somehow make it work through 2 or 3 lower paid jobs.

I just checked out my email account, and somehow wrote out the email with spreadsheet to Spag and never sent it! That or my internet too the chance to disconnect again (BT - enough said). Sincere apologies for holding things up!

in my job field and sector most of the better jobs are in london.. i was really lucky to find my job where i live! i don't really intend to leave any time soon although my salary i would prefer it to be higher. theres only one other company here that i could go to, that is in my field and sector. but it is quite a large organisation and im not sure im passionate about what they do... well, not asm uch as what i do now!

I live in London and I don't think it is particularly expensive. I suppose I have never lived anywhere else so I have nothing to compare it to.
