afternoon all
hope everyone is well
hugs (from a distance) OMO I'm sure the cream will get rid of it.
all the hampers and photo look fantastic
i decided to do all my outdoor tasks this morning - hand deliver neighbours and estate cards, go into school pay some money take chocs in for staff on reception order another ticket for tonights concert,
nip to tescos, go into post office, and take friends pressie round.
was in school chatting longer than thought but got everything done there. got everything i needed at tesco (some nice pots of hyachincs at £3 each or two fro £5 that can be passed of as grown by a grandchild if the card sleeve is taken off and a bit of moss and ribbon etc added)
PO was 'closed until further notice' then i remembered hearing it was robbed at the beginning of the week and had £7K taken so need to walk into next town another day now. friend was out so left her gift in a safe place. got most of it done and back in time to do a quick repair on one of the costumes needed for the school play.
did some wrapping first thing but still more to do.
DD2 has just rung to say shes on the train to come over with her partners kids ready for the concert tonight but needs use of my sewing machine to make their dog a stocking, saves putting the machine away now and while im waiting i'll knock out a couple more little stocking with the childrens names on so they can find them on the tree when they come in.
nanamia, i had to abandon the appliqued stocking as too many other things needed doing, but it will come back out in the new year.
hugs to all and hope everyones day has something nice in it.SPC~12 ot 124

In Mr. M's this morning and picked some j2O up for DS as he doesn't do alcohol - quite surprising given the gene pool.
. They have it on for buy one get two free (£4 something a pack). Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

Shall catch up in a tad but I called hospital to be told DSs new splints have been there a week but they had lost the label to who they belonged to! He gets them fitted next Tuesday!0

Have just learnt its £300 to cancel the Internet and phone line for the business
tried to urge DH to get them to swap it to the home line (and cancel our current tv and phone package at a cost of £180) but he's having none of it, as it means we'd lose the tv channels, and get the calls from the business too. Hmph, not too sure where I'm supposed to pull this figure from, and really don't want to add it onto the credit card bill, but may have no choice
my accidental time off next week is now not looking like such a bright idea.

Bother.. I still need to collect Moomins boot from orthotics..
2 more boxes of stuff wrapped.. DS2 has a pathetically tiny pile.. I am getting him an ipod for his 18th next month (in the sale hopefully!!!)
Still not sorted anything for my mother.. and she told me the other day someone got her some of those ugly 'heat holder' socks last Christmas and she hates them etc.. I said thanks.. give me them back then I love them!! .. so it isn't like she notices who buys her what so I might just not botherLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pinksteps - yay!
His missus - pleased to hear you had a good time
Blue_eyed_girl - you wrap the heck out of those presents! Have a nice time at Durham Cathedral too.
Everyone's being so productive at the minute, well done all of you! Wish I could help with all the wrapping, I sometimes feel like I don't have enough Christmassy chores to do and some of you seem to have so much wrapping, shame we don't live closer together! Does anyone else find that after a wrapping session they keep finding tiny bits of sellotape all over themselves?
I'm thinking. OH and I are having our pretend Christmas for just us this weekend, before I go away. Since on the real Christmas Eve I leave Santa a real mince pie and drink, I think I might leave out a pretend one for this, like just a drawing of one :rotfl:
(OH may not go for this idea, suspect he might want a real mince pie so he can eat it!)
Edit - Pigpen, in that case get her anything you fancy, then if she doesn't like it you can have it! And that's a shame Feisty, is there no way you can convince him at all?0 -

Having such a sucky day. My water aerobics class was cancelled and they didn't bother to tell me. Was stood outside waiting for a lift from my friend. Was getting tight for time so I sent a text asking her if she was coming and she said they'd called her yesterday and said the class was cancelled.
Went round the supermarkets for a bit, delivered cards to the neighbours and then sat down to read a book when my mum called. She was asking what my plans were for next week when I come down. I have three close friends to see, plus my stepmum (whose dad has just died, so I especially want to see her), brother and Auntie.
Mum is working for an agency, so has funny shifts, but I had notes of roughly when she is working. But I've also got to work around everyone else's schedules too, so I've planned what I can, keeping the whole of Sunday free to spend with mum. She seemed a bit off with me and got stroppy when I said I had made plans for all of Friday (seeing one friend in the day, another in the evening) because she wanted me to help with the Christmas decorations. I got off the phone and burst into tears. I don't know why I bother sometimes. I can't seem to do anything right. Each visit back 'home' just gets me stressed out and annoyed.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
