Laurajo: They are sold out with none avaiable in UK until after Christmas so people who have promised tot heir kids for Christmas & not ordered early wont be able to gt one.
I ordered knowing nothing of this as I ma not a gamer so don't see why they are so popular! but when I mentioned I had one & it was unopened my friend put the idea to me. I might put it on for 5 days next week & put a high reserve, if it doesn't sell I'll keep it, if it do then I'll have a few hundred extra quid.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

ok, I'll put this here cause I wont get slaughtered (I hope)
I have a little moral dilemma.
I ordered in August & received the new XBOX one. I got dance 2014 game & an extra controller at the same time.
It is a family gift that my son (6yo) would think was his. (me & oh put the money we would have spent on each other in the pot towards it)
DS has no idea what an xbox one is & doesn't know it is part of his gift.
Now my dilemma is that these things are being sold for 800+ quid on ebay & as I only paid 500 for the lot I have been told by a friend that I would be mad not to cash in.
I could sell it & then buy another one in January & DS would be none the wiser.
I suppose no one forces anyone to bid these silly prices on ebay but it's making me feel a bit. ick. nast, to do it.
I could certainly use an extra 3-400 quid for nothing but is it right?
What would you do?
I would sell it.
However, don't forget all the fees. People are complaining that after the listing fees, selling fees (which now include the postage) and Paypal fees, they are not getting much out of selling on eBay now. So you may only actually only make £100 - £150 extra. But extra is extra ;o)
Is there any reason why he would not be happy with the Xbox 360 since he is so young, and wouldn't know the difference anyway? There are so many cheap deals around for the 360 at the moment.
My DS has the Xbox One, and I am currently onto live chat with Microsoft, as you now have to have parent accounts associated with a child account, otherwise they cannot play via xbox liveSmiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

springdreams: I wanted the one as it is the latest & has the blu ray etc. I really don't mind holding out till January & ds wont care, he gets lot for Christmas anyway & if I get the one in January he will be as excited as on Christmas day. You are right about fees, I'd offer free postage anyway as the postage rip off is so bad now. Ebay really do take the pee with their & paypal charges.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

I am the same every year, look forward to the christmas prep then about this time i can't be @rsed and want it over. I have bought some really nice photo blocks and canvas to put up as soon as Christmas is over and already looking forward to a spring clean.
DS still hasn't got his new splints, I have called the hospital twice last week and left messages but calls have not been returned so i think that is getting me down a tad.
Apart from that I think most things are done, i may tweak my w@itrose order later. Just for something to do.
Christmas next year everything is going to be homemade, which will cause amusement on my behalf0 -
Quidsy.. sell it!!!! If he plays on a few games regularly you need to replace them to play on the Xbox One so you'd have to replace all his games at £40+ a pop.. it isn't just the price of the console that is the issue... £425+ for the console plus £45 for the extra controller + £40+ per game... get it on ebay chick and save the money.. in a few months when the hype dies down buy another. When they release the next ones I will be saving up.. pre ordering the PS5 and Xbox whatever comes next and slapping them straight on ebay on release!!! If they had been released a bit later I would have done that this year too!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

quidsy - sell it... your son won't know the difference, presents on Christmas day get forgotten, extra presents after Christmas doubly exciting! and your not selling something dodge, your not making people bid, and in all honesty the person who gets it would probably be over the moon and really relieved, as like someone else mentioned could be one of those parents who didn't realise and promised their kid one but couldn't get it.

quidsy i def wouldn't have a problem selling it (unless of coz dh really wants it for himself) like you said ds hasnt actually asked for one and doesn't know he'd be getting it so he wont miss what he never expected. on the plus side you'll hopefully make some extra money for extra treats and you'll be making someone else very very happy for xmas. make sure you do list it/set reserve price covering all your costs + paypal fees plus charge the extra for a guarented signed for delivery.
mkgirl lost count of how many time the cat has almost had the tree over either that or he's knocking the baubles off the bottom branches. I've tied string around the top and pinned it to the ceiling either side stops it going right over.
thanks for the gingerbread recipe
chrissyg def the right thing to do if its imflammed if you do go to the hairdresser mention you had a reaction to a home colourant. I rarely colour my hair as cant seem to find any that i don't react too even ones I've been ok with before seem to cause a reaction after 1 or 2 uses  love to go a little crazy and try something different
nanamia anything sweet really though would give savoury a go. willing to try anything as long as its not too time consuming so after any recommendations did have a quick google but there are so many out there dont have a clue where to start. as I do most of the xmas baking with the kids seem have got stuck in a rut and just make the same couple of thing every yr.this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Ruth_honey - it is definitely worth getting the brush and bowl I find they make roots so much easier, and seems to make it a little tidier, have more control over where the stuff is going. Yes the brushes are sold as hair dye brushes, bigger set than I got but still crazy cheap £2.49 ebay version - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HAIR-DYE-TINTING-COLOURING-KIT-BRUSH-COMB-BOWL-BARBER-SALON-TINT-HAIRDRESSING-/181168734627
and I got my cape from Avon, but it's only available to reps now (they are just selling off end of stock, I keep meaning to order another one so I have a supply lol) but if you know someone who does avon you could ask them if they could order you oneor... ebay, I found one listing silver, black or pink - £2.75, or second one auction (no bids ends tomorrow) £2 and £1 postage for an Avon one, which is pretty good they are only making 1p if it sells for that
!
I googled about the henna only thing that came up was people having really bad side effects to the temporary henna tattoos people got at kiosks (who aren't regulated and so the henna isn't proper henna). I hope that's what it was your hair dresser was warning about, and I'm safe with my hair dye henna. It's actually the lush henna I use! It is soooo messy! But I love the colour I get

I'm really sad. We are not having a tree this year. I love my tree I love Christmas but I am fed up of doing everything when it comes to tidying and sorting and as a result of the total lack of help with anything I am refusing to do it so we aren't having a tree as I have nowhere to put it and all I am getting is bickering and whining.
Hopefully by next Christmas it will be a lesson learned.
So very sad for the littlies who are both delighted by Christmas trees.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen - how sad that you aren't having a tree if the little ones like it. I can't imagine ever not having a tree at Christmas even if it took me weeks to do everything all alone (which actually it almost does lol).
MKgirl - I still have the three fat little robins on my Christmas tree that survived numerous attacks from my cat when he was a kitten. He was a demon for the tree (and the curtains) when he was small although the robins were the only things that were played with/savaged! We finally had to have him put to sleep when he was 17 but I just can't part with those robins, they're part of our history now.
Quidsy - I'd sell too, maybe try Facebook as well though to avoid the 10% fees on ebay.
Nana - the lights in the hall are held up a bit gingerly with pins but hoping they stay put as they aren't under any stress up there lol.
OMO/Pinksteps - sorry to hear that you've lost your festive mojo, do you think maybe you've peaked too soon? Hope it comes back to you before the big day. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
