We have been to a local christmas Fayre it was mostly tombolas but there was a stall of handmade earrings so i treat myself and dd won a bottle of wine shame she is ;
a] underage
b] on epilepsy meds
I guess it will be down to mum to "suffer" and drink it;)
I took the plunge and bought a hair dye now ive got to find the courage to do it myself ! may find my courage at the bottom of the wine bottle:rotfl:
Don't worry too much about dying your own I have been doing mine for a few years now (& even bleached it & dyed it lilac by myself for the first time this year) & if your going darker then it's even easier - just make sure all you hair covered, even if I've got some dye left I always use it all up.
There's also loads of videos on YouTube of people dying their hair which can be really helpful. That's how I worked out how to bleach my own hair
Just go for it - you'll be fine0 -

been one of those weeks where you seem to be constantly on the go but don't really seem to have done much(lots of school stuff which tends to be very time consuming) so very glad its the weekend though that means we're a wk into dec already
anyone got any recipes for must make xmas baking type goodies they would like to share? I make the usual cupcakes, cookies ect with the kids but thinking I'd like to try something different this yr
the first thing I ever baked by myself a few years ago was this gingerbread (sometimes I dip one half in melted chocolate )
http://www.waitrose.com/home/recipes/recipe_directory/g/gingerbread.html
It always gets compliments & even the chefs at work said it was better than what they make
although I usually adjust the amount of cinnamon & ginger as I prefer the taste a bit stronger0 -

I cut my own hair. Now that is nerve racking
I must do a good job though as I'm often asked where I got it done. One lady said she always asks for a cut like mine but the hairdresser never quite gets it right. When I told her that I do it myself she was rather shocked.0 -

We are so alike, I cut mine too! A good few years back there was a hairdresser on This Morning who showed how to cut your own hair in 2 different styles so I've been doing my own for years. Think both my DDs were thankful once they left home that they could go to the hairdressers and not have me cut their hair.0 -
i usually get my oh to trim the back of my hair and i chop the front & sides, going to have a go dying it tomorrow so fingers crossed i dont end up with a stripy tiger effect . lolThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Well today my cold finally seems to be getting better and I actually feel human again, so much so that I was able to have a shower and wash my hair this morning and even put the Christmas tree up this afternoon. Am experimenting a bit with uploading photos for the first time so here goes....It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Oops, a bit big but at least it's there. This is the lights in the hallway or what I'm optimistically calling my winter ice forest .......It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Finally for now (I promise) I'm going to be brave and post this pic of me and DGD after we had festive face painting done at the village Christmas Fayre last weekend (unfortunately I can't crop the people out in the background so apologies if anyone spots themselves) .......It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Cool pictures PP, apologies for changing the subject but if any of you like me are missing the Christmas magic I can whole heatedly recommend watching Arthur Christmas, DH put it on this evening and it's brilliant - really made me smile. We're on Disney Christmas Carol now, I'm so glad my DH love Christmas, it'll be Christmas songs on the iPod in the car next week - later than usual though.2014 20p savers club #2 I've given up trying to keep track of how much that pig eats!
2014 £2 savers club #3 - I've no idea, but the pig is beginning to get mighty heavy
