  • Evening all

Shopping is now all bought except for tobacco and beers, but I'll grab then next week, Got one that needs to be wrapped and posted.

I've managed to lose a roll of open wrapping paper I'm abit annoyed about it caus I was going to use it to wrap bags of sweets for the guys in the shop and don't want to use my nice pretty wrappings on them caus they are really only token gifts. :rotfl:

I feel like there was so much I wanted to say but I cannot remember any of it :o

Feisty Might you be better to try selling some of the stock of the shop on the facebook page you have? I mean it must be the overheads of the shop that are killing you, do you maybe have a garage you could store the stock in? or you can rent garages from the council for about £10 a week which has got to be massively cheaper than the store?

Will come back and edit this later laptop is about to die :(

Just heard the very sad news that Nelson Mandela has died. :(
  • Has it now been confirmed? I saw about half an hour ago the president was going to make an announcement

OMO so glad you made it home safe.

I truly hope everyone is okay xxx

Amey, we are selling off stock through our facebook page at the moment, but people are only now buying that it has been reduced to less than cost. Sadly it wouldn't be viable for us as a business plan :(

We do have an advert going out in our local paper next week, we've listed the business for sale at 3.5k - it is portable, but with DH the way he is, my nerves just can't take it anymore.

That was some storm! my fence is down, the felt is half off the shed, I've lost 2 greenhouse glass panels, haven't looked at the roof, will check it when I take dgs to school. Glad you got home OMO, hope the floods stay away from us all. Nanamia, how were the Christmas markets?
Got all my orders filled, then DD comes and asks if l will do another 6 for her, this is silly, l didn't set out to do this!
Went out for wrinklies Christmas dinner last night, full 3 course meal, traditional menu, very nice, put a pound on this morning, hope it doesn't stay, but as l'm out again tonight it probably will become resident and will move in its rellies too.
I am loving all the pictures of trees and deccys you are so talented, hope some of it will rub off on me.
DGS Christmas fair today, so we are off to school loaded down with goodies. It is his last one, as the senior schools here don't do them.

    Hi All,

Hope you're all safe and well. It sounds like some of you took a real battering yesterday. It was blustery here but not enough to blow the bin over or cause any damage.

Xmas prep to report - dyed my hair last night which will see me through to mid January. Just bought some sparkly red and gold foam sheets to make stars for wall decs - stealing mkgirl's idea I think it was.

Also bought some stocking fillers for Hubby, some choc eggs (larger than mini eggs but not as big a creme egg) from sweet shop and some packs of bacon frazzle crisps for his "bed & breakfast" hamper. SO far I've got pjs, slippers (bed bit) double egg cup, whisky marmalade, cadburys dairy milk in a "milk carton", the choc eggs and frazzles (breakfast bit). I hope he likes it.

Looking forward to our trip to London, ready for a break from life's stresses. Mum says dad seems quite well after the chemo (he's pretty much spent the past 6 weeks sleeping and lying down as he's been in so much pain and has had no appetite) so fingers crossed.

We've booked to do the London Eye and Madame Tussauds, definitely doing the Hyde Park Wonderland and covent garden and we've booked to do the Harry Potter Studio Tour as Hubby is a massive fan. I've also convinced Hubby we should head out to see the Coca Cola truck at the O2 too.

what dye did you use ? im desperate to hide my grey and want to go a bit darker but ive never done my own hair before so im a bit hesitant to say the least !

we did the Harry Potter tour earlier this year it was great but i would take a packed lunch as the food prices were way too high, the shop is great but expensive.

ChrissyG - I just use Boots own brand permanent in dark brown. It's just a touch darker than my natural hair colour but it covers the greys well.

Thanks for the heads up about taking a packed lunch. We're staying in a self catering apartment in london (worked out slightly cheaper than B&B/travelodge etc. and you have a bit more freedom/space) so that shouldn't be a problem.
