That's whats happening here tooSorry not posted in days. Just caught up on all your posts, in hairdressers atm so won't respond to everyone yet. Getting colour and cut done- first time in ages. It was my birthday on Wednesday so treating myself to a morning in the salon followed my lunch in a cosy country pub with my 3 best friends :-) DH is daddy daycare today ;-)
Belated birthday wishes fluffysox - hope you have a lovely day.

It has taken me since Wednesday to catch up!
DH is finally out of hospital - he was told 9am on Wednesday he could come home, but he didn't want to tell me incase they changed their mind. Que me turning up harrassed, moody and my usual irritable self and I don't think it was quite the grand announcement he was hoping forMore tests, no answers, so they are putting it down to his medication and changing it up in the hope that the fluid stops accumulating. He will need another operation (hopefully soon) to correct his re-occur-ant hydrocele - there is light at the end of our bleak tunnel!
Freespirit, what a lovely photo - I think it is wonderful that you forced yourself to be in a photo of such a special moment
OMO - your poor, poor daughter. As the other lovelies have said, you really will be better off without her! I know it is hard for your poor daughter, but karma will reward her eventually!
Nana, the no news is good news policy is a good one to have for your son for another Mum - I really hope that all is fine with him. I know how stressful the not knowing is xxx
Well it's the day of the big sale, we've been open for an hour and only sold about £18 worth of bits - I have no idea whether or not this will be a success - beyond caring now lol.
I do however have a lovely fire, Christmas songs and Christmas spice on the oil burner in the shop
So pleased to see that DH is back home with you. Quite envious of the fire, xmas songs and the oil burner.Really do need to get up and get a wriggle on. :rotfl:

My grandson (5) is to be a wise man in the nativity play. Is that the same as a king? Any suggestions for a costume would be appreciated, please. Will be doing the charity shops this afternoon, looking for something suitable but I need to know what I'm looking for. Lots of people probably doing the same, locally.
I think Home Bargains had ready made Nativity costumes during the week. Yep your on the right track wise man = king. Hope you manage to find something suitable.

Happy Saturday everyone.
All my food is on order now. Dry goods & drink is being delivered tomorrow then have 2 meat & veg orders coming from Riverford between now & 20th Dec. Have a small list of fresh things to get on chrimbo eve, cream, milk, bread etc but pretty much done food wise now, which is a nice feeling.
Decs are coming down tonight & will ut them all up tomorrow morning, need to run to local tesco to collect the lights I ordered at some point today but as it is 24hr I can go later.
Our local Christmas fare is going on at the mo so will take ds when it gets dark to see the lights turning on, still need to start his Christmas cards but think will do tomorrow after the tree goes up, we will be in the mood anyway so good time to do them.
Hope you are all having a great day so far.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

We don't have Home Bargains round this way for some reason. Couldn't find much but, in the end I bought a piece of emerald green sparkly fabric which I thought I would fashion into a cloak which he could wear over one of his mum's tshirts tied in the middle with a gold belt or scarf. Apparently he already has a crown, as you do. lol.0 -

Sounds as though you have it pretty much sorted.

not xmas buying related but bought some of the larger bits for baby due next year when boots had their point spectacular online thursday and using my staff discount card, discount code and bonus points I got a £600+ order for £420 and £102 worth of points back on my card! which i'll stockpile for next xmas.
watched the great british bake off xmas special earlier and has inspired me to attempt to make a yule log myself instead of buying one will do a trial run in the week when the kids are at school.0 -
We have just decorated the tree, I'm gutted that I can't find a whole box with my nice decorations in it and the 3 elves that usually come on the 1st
the kids will be so disappointed tomorrow morning,
I have hunted high and low.
We moved house on Jan the 14th this year, so not sure where they went. They will be somewhere, but they are not turning up.
Trying to think what I can do to stall the kids. Was going to put their advent calanders out in the living room, then do footsteps in talc and a note saying they had to dash back to see Santa as their was a shortage of Lego this year lol x
We had friends In the bar in Glasgow last night. We have drunk in there a few times, thank fully our friends ( it was the band that was playing) got out safely and unscathed. But it's awful to think of those poor people not coming home from a night outx
