Tonight's been lovely! Can't remember if I mentioned but I am on amoxicillin as of today as I have a lovely sinus infection! Hoping it eases up as the last two times I've had it scans at hospital showed it causes probs with my shunt!
Hair cut due Wednesday can't wait!
Hope you are not in too much pain with sinus. I can remember DH has this one xmas and he was in an awful lot of pain. Hope the meds kick in quickly.
I've booked my hair appt for 23rd Dec (haircut and highlights). Not too much will be getting cut off as I keep it short as I am usually quite lazy when it comes to styling my hair. I tried it in a shortish bob and no matter how many times it was straightened it would flick in the opposite direction within no time. Once I got back from hairdressers and within 30 mins of getting home, the flick was starting so I thought well if it does it when she does my hair what chance to I stand. So I gave up the fight and removed the hassle from my life.
Just watching the news with the latest on the terrible tragedy in Glasgow. My heart goes out to anyone waiting for news of loved ones.
Have a good weekend everyone

Am going to write my Christmas cards this morning and get them posted today.
I hate this job so want to get it out of the way! I am definitely going to do what a friend did, she wrote this years as she took down last years! Excellent idea :T:T
Are everyone's decorations going up this weekend then? :xmastree::santa2:0 -

Morning my friends, sitting waiting for a call from grandma sister to go with her to local wholesalers, hope to get a h-u-g-e-bag of jelly beans (J-j they are my favourites, too).
All the decorations are down from the loft and are looking reproachfully at me as l now don't know what to do with them all. But l have decided that any l don't use this year are being disposed of, not put back 'in case'.
OMO l do hope your neighbours from hell are being investigated and that they are found guilty and move away from you. Love the DD line about poverty benefit.
Chrissy g yaay, great news.
I got the Aldi throw and it is lovely, but hadn't seen the Next one, and now l have I can understand why you prefer it Ruth- Honey. I also got my halfcost order yesterday, the clocks are lovely for 80p too so I got some letters from Dunelm and did the names and am really pleased with them.
Nanamia yes, my friend and my cousin bot loved theirs, friend actually shed tears and told me that no one had ever given her an advent calendar. Her son is hopefully going to come and see me this weekend to give me a photo posting tutorial fingers crossed.
DGS school night was good, his teacher is going to look into him having an amanuensis for his sats and is also going to see how he holds his pen as it is not helping.
I must write the rest of my cards today, ready for the local scouts to deliver next week.
Oh, forgot, Mrs invis is in danger of becoming a gadabout.... I have 4 nights out planned, wrinklies night, friends 'business' night out (she is a one man band, but her DM my DD and fave cous and l are her backing team) meal out with DB and DSIL and another night with my advent calendar friend. (I only have one frock!)0 -

Happy last day of November to everyone :-P DS will be delighted to recieve a Peppa pig advent calendar tomorrow ;-)
Sorry not posted in days. Just caught up on all your posts, in hairdressers atm so won't respond to everyone yet. Getting colour and cut done- first time in ages. It was my birthday on Wednesday so treating myself to a morning in the salon followed my lunch in a cosy country pub with my 3 best friends :-) DH is daddy daycare today ;-)
Just looked up from getting hair washed and my mum and aunt are here too getting cut and blow drys lol. Mum and her two sisters are going to see "Mrs Brown's boys" today. They have 8 sons and 4 daughters between the three of them and lots of grandchildren (and my mum is a Mrs Brown).
Got spoiled by family and DH on my birthday. DH was at work as were all my friends so thought I'd be on my own with DSs but literally had non-stop visitors from 11am til 8pm. Really feel for those of you with family being horrid. I have a brother I have never liked, he is 8 years older and even my earliest memories of him are of him being aggressive and mean. My other two brothers are lovely. DH's siblings and all our nieces and nephews are lovely.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Wowsers you guys, you really are nattering for England now
It has taken me since Wednesday to catch up!
DH is finally out of hospital - he was told 9am on Wednesday he could come home, but he didn't want to tell me incase they changed their mind. Que me turning up harrassed, moody and my usual irritable self and I don't think it was quite the grand announcement he was hoping forMore tests, no answers, so they are putting it down to his medication and changing it up in the hope that the fluid stops accumulating. He will need another operation (hopefully soon) to correct his re-occur-ant hydrocele - there is light at the end of our bleak tunnel!
Freespirit, what a lovely photo - I think it is wonderful that you forced yourself to be in a photo of such a special moment
OMO - your poor, poor daughter. As the other lovelies have said, you really will be better off without her! I know it is hard for your poor daughter, but karma will reward her eventually!
Nana, the no news is good news policy is a good one to have for your son for another Mum - I really hope that all is fine with him. I know how stressful the not knowing is xxx
Well it's the day of the big sale, we've been open for an hour and only sold about £18 worth of bits - I have no idea whether or not this will be a success - beyond caring now lol.
I do however have a lovely fire, Christmas songs and Christmas spice on the oil burner in the shop[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
Live in the moment more and appreciate the small things0 -
Well, I'll natter for Scotland and England now.
My grandson (5) is to be a wise man in the nativity play. Is that the same as a king? Any suggestions for a costume would be appreciated, please. Will be doing the charity shops this afternoon, looking for something suitable but I need to know what I'm looking for. Lots of people probably doing the same, locally.0 -
I have tomorrow off work (rare for me to have a Sunday off)
I really need to give my flat a good clean then sort out my mess of a storage cupboard & get the decs down which I might put up on weds as that's my next day off
This will be my first time putting decs up in this flat - can't wait
I hope we're all going to share pics once our trees are up0
