Freespirit, the police helicopter crash landed on the roof of a very busy pub last night around 10:30pm. The 3 in the helicopter died and 5 others in the pub so far, there was lots injured, some seriously. My friends are in the band who was playing, they are a really loud Ska band, so everyone in the pub just thought they had blew a speaker when it crashed, it's horrible to know you go off out on a night out, and some thing like this happens

Happy last day of November to everyone :-P DS will be delighted to recieve a Peppa pig advent calendar tomorrow ;-)
Sorry not posted in days. Just caught up on all your posts, in hairdressers atm so won't respond to everyone yet. Getting colour and cut done- first time in ages. It was my birthday on Wednesday so treating myself to a morning in the salon followed my lunch in a cosy country pub with my 3 best friends :-) DH is daddy daycare today ;-)
Just looked up from getting hair washed and my mum and aunt are here too getting cut and blow drys lol. Mum and her two sisters are going to see "Mrs Brown's boys" today. They have 8 sons and 4 daughters between the three of them and lots of grandchildren (and my mum is a Mrs Brown).
Got spoiled by family and DH on my birthday. DH was at work as were all my friends so thought I'd be on my own with DSs but literally had non-stop visitors from 11am til 8pm. Really feel for those of you with family being horrid. I have a brother I have never liked, he is 8 years older and even my earliest memories of him are of him being aggressive and mean. My other two brothers are lovely. DH's siblings and all our nieces and nephews are lovely.
FLUFFYSOX Happy Birthday for the other day, glad you were spoilt, hope you had a lovely lunch today, and are pleased with your hairFeistyFidget wrote: »Wowsers you guys, you really are nattering for England nowIt has taken me since Wednesday to catch up!
DH is finally out of hospital - he was told 9am on Wednesday he could come home, but he didn't want to tell me incase they changed their mind. Que me turning up harrassed, moody and my usual irritable self and I don't think it was quite the grand announcement he was hoping forMore tests, no answers, so they are putting it down to his medication and changing it up in the hope that the fluid stops accumulating. He will need another operation (hopefully soon) to correct his re-occur-ant hydrocele - there is light at the end of our bleak tunnel!
Freespirit, what a lovely photo - I think it is wonderful that you forced yourself to be in a photo of such a special moment
Well it's the day of the big sale, we've been open for an hour and only sold about £18 worth of bits - I have no idea whether or not this will be a success - beyond caring now lol.
I do however have a lovely fire, Christmas songs and Christmas spice on the oil burner in the shop
FEISTY im so glad you are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel my lovely my fingers are crossed that they get him in quick for his op, and that the meds work as well. Hope your sale went better throughout the day, your shop sounds the perfect place i would like to be sounds, smells and warmthOwn_My_Own wrote: »

Right last post i promise, now i have caught up, i went to my favourite garden centre today about 25 miles away and it didnt disappoint, it was lovely as usual, bought my tree and bought all the american foods for my DD BF hamper, there is blooming stacks of stuff in the box, so thats it all presents bought and wrapped, advent calendars on mantelpiece all ready for tomorrow including the dogs one
advent candles in holders on coffee table, (DS said why do you bother mum, you always forget and burn too far and have to wait a few days before you can light it again?)
:D I decided today we have far too much xmas stuff from when exH was here 10 plastic crates full???? So donated about 4 bags full to CS today, im not going to put decorations on the tree that we have bought from various countries, i am going to store them away, its going to be a fresh new start, and i am just going to have red, white and green baubles nice plain and simple, I was very good i didnt buy anything at the garden centre either except tree, candles and american food, best part of the day though was FINDING TWO YANKEE CANDLE JARS i had forgot about, xmas fragrances as well
Here are just a couple of pics from garden centre, one was a lovely little sign with glitter writing and a luminary?? like FEISTY made:
sorry dont know why it hasnt come out the right way up

Just setting the scene - It's 6.06 am and I'm sat here with a cuppa tea and Christmas cards at my side. Sleep has been on and off (more off than on) since 2am this morning so I have decided to get up and make a start on the cards. Might not get them all done in one go - but here goes

Don't we just :rotfl::rotfl:
Christmas cards done except for some cross stitch ones I haven't written (still got two to make up) but I'm getting there. Might try to get the rest done later today.
Having my first cuppa tea in my Christmas mug now.
First load of washing done and hanging around the house with the heating on and dehumidifier working full pelt. Second lot of washing is on the way. Very damp outside - would probably be wasting time hanging it out to bring it back in wetter than it went out if that makes sense.
Well going to have this tea whilst hubby gets ready then we will have a walk down to Mum's and have yet another cuppa (coffee this time though). Me and Mum have been having a milky coffee with a little splash of rum - that's our Sunday winter treat:D
Hope you all have a productive day. DH might go into loft (its not an easy one to get into to and there is a very low pitch on the roof) but I am just keeping quiet to see how he feels. I have learnt an very important lesson - sometimes the more you nag - the longer you have to wait or he may suggest I go up and that is a definite no no.
