    Evening. :D
So glad it's Friday. People are still turning up to buy bits and dds phone is still bleeping.
Just got to wrap 5 presents tomorrow and this weeks tasks are done.
    Love the hamper jj :D
Naughty Spot your garden centre puts ours to sham. But it's nice to know some still make an effort.
When an update on next door-
Dd phoned me today at work today and held the phone out. Next door were going at it hammer and tong.
She was shouting at her partner ' I could lose this house and you don't care, it's all the fault of that c*** next door'
    ( that would be me)
So I came home ready to face her and give her a mouthful, but she has stayed hidden indoors.
So maybe the fraud team have finally taken notice. Who knows
Dd made me laugh. She said ' You won't believe it, not only is he claiming single parent benefit when he isn't a single parent but he is claiming poverty benefit as well'
When I asked her what she meant she said ' when next-door were shouting she told him to stop claiming poverty ! He just claims everything doesn't he !!! ' :rotfl:
Freespirit dd is bit like me. As long as she is busy she if fine. It's when she has nothing to do that she starts thinking. Then she gets upset.
I think that maybe this a bit of a release for her. My mum was asking her to do loads of stuff. I have told her loads of times to say no but she didn't like to. Now
    She doesn't have to worry.

Oh god your neighbours really are vile arent they?? Love DD poverty benefit :) Well good for her, its a healthy release, she gains in the end and hopefully all that hurt will be gone x

  • Noticed lots of xmas lights on the way home tonight. DH said if he is up to it he might get the xmas stuff out of the loft over the weekend so that we can get it all sorted. I am getting rid of my large green tree and some of the decs. Keeping the 3? sets of lights and some of the more expensive baubles we have gathered over the years. The tree we are putting up again this year is affectionately known as the xmas twig. Describes it pretty well actually - a twig that twinkles (quite subtle changes in colour). All the baubles have to be clear glass. :D Might sound a bit boring but I think it looks quite pretty.

Got the last of the items for the Italian hamper today so will have to put it all together to see what size box I am looking for.

CHRISSYG - good luck for next Friday. :T

OMO - your neighbours really do sound like the 'neighbours from hell'. I am so lucky as my next door neighbour of 23 years has become one of my best friends. I have told her she had better never move from next door. She is on holiday in a weeks time and we are supposed to be having a day out shopping - really looking forward to it. We had a couple of days in Harrogate xmas shopping last year but this year it will be just for the day to one of the big shopping centres I think.

TASK FOR WEEKEND - WRITE XMAS CARDS

    Take care everyone

    Christmas pasta pic-99p in Lidl

    th_photo_zps082c2a2e.jpg

Sorry it's taken a while to post. Had to take pic when DH not around as I'm giving it to him for Christmas. If its too late for you, b_e_g, then hopefully it'll be useful for someone else.

My halfcost order came today (upstairs neighbours refused to take it in! Guessing they've realised that we've made an official complaint about the noise they make. Have tried to sort it out calmly and friendly, but they don't listen!). The gingerbread man dish is nothing like I expected. Looks a lot more than what I paid for it, but I don't think I can't use it for food. Wrapping paper was fantastic value. Will try it out over the weekend to see the quality. Got some more stocking fillers today. Three great beers for DH. Not a lot to tempt me in B&M, but probably for the best. :)
Looked at the throws in Aldi-nice, but I prefer the Next one for £3 more. If the Aldi ones were £10, I probably would've gone for it. Now I come home and look online and Next are sold out of the throws! I've already looked in the local stores, so will have to see if they come back online soon. :(

Laughing at the cat. She can't decide if she'd rather sleep in here with us, on the bed, or in the hallway because there's a new big box out there ready to be taken outside in the morning. :D

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A
  • Thanks Ruth. No it's not too late. I'm off to Lidl in the morning. If I can find it, then it will be easy to swap with the one I bought today. Pasta never comes in wrong in our house. :D

Hope you manage to get the Next fleece.

    Take care

Well today I'm shattered, done very little and have even less GUAG :( early (for me) night and hope tomorrow is better I think.

Mrs M get you, out for dinner again, good for you I hope you had a good time. Hoping the craft fayre is a great success, sending lots of good luck wishes xxx
b_e_g yay for your Mums 6/12 appointment :) hope the meds are soon sorted too. It's such a shame when people like your elderly friend have to come home without the (official) support they need, I know you and DH will be there for her but makes my blood boil that provision isn't on hand. I love the sound of your tasteful twinkling tree :) Photos please xxx
Mrsinvisible aww bless your DSiL, bet your friend was just as pleased with hers today wasn't she :) And wreath designing, yet another talents. We just need to tutor you through posting pictures and we can share :) When are the family arriving from china ? Are you ready for them? How's DGS doing ? Enough, enough with the questions haha xxx
Msgigglewick aww bless you my lovely, you've had such a tough time. And look at you now, a yummy mummy with DH, happy children, debt free go you. I hope you are very, very proud of yourself :) you certainly should be. I'd forgotten that some people do that with their syns, what a good idea thank you xxx
Naughty Spot that Christmas display looks fab :) I've bought lights today too but in B&Q! X
Gettingtherequickly Good luck with transporting the gifts! Argh! Oooh I love fudge, don't tempt me :) xxx
Freespirit I hate having my photo taken too, from being little. There are very few of me in existence ha. At DDs graduation we were queuing for the official photographer, as you do and I asked if it was ok to have DD and DH in the photo, the photographer was only to happy to oblige (for a small fortune) and they wouldn't have it taken unless I was in it !!!! I knew right then that it'd never be displayed :( total waste, would they listen. Ha. Strangely one of the canvases I'd order for the living room came today, it's gorgeous an old photo, well 15 months of DH and both VDGDs before DS went to Oz :) I love it :) One more on its way of DGD2 need a decent photo of DGD1 then I'm done. Son from another Mum came home this evening on weekend release! Ha, glad to be home, back in the morning for check up tho. Still no real answers but more tests to be done, looks like every avenue is being explored, so no news is good news xxx
Orkney Star I'm going to put that on next weeks aims/tasks sit and chat with BFF :) perfect X
JJ aww bless the LO, I'm hoping the time flies till you are back again. I love your hamper, your brother is very lucky to have you. Hope you had a good night tonight with your Mum and Auntie, bet they've missed you xxx
Chrissy woo hoo great news. I've not even looked at the Black Friday deals, I didn't need anything so it wouldn't have been a bargain, I'm trying to be good but I heard about fights, ambulances, broken fingers and such like at my local asda! Really some people. xxx
Linky go Miss Linky go I hope she has a great time in London and especially Primarni. Re neighbours from hell - karma is coming to get them. And claiming "poverty benefits" too that did make me smile. Have a good time xxx
