  • My fruit has been soaking for 3 days now. not had the time to make it! will it still be ok? lol too late to do it now as need to do dinner in a bit then sort libbie out for bed. hopefully i can get it done tomorrow afternoon once dh has left to go work up north for 4 days.

We had a wonder around town today. Saw a few pressies in tescos i'll get for difficult family. Dh bought me some santa socks and some red and white stripped ones lol and a lovely gingerbread smelling candle.. though he's currently enjoying that lol. Then went into the entertainer so dd4 could spend her birthday money and picked up some more elf goodies oops. Think i have enough for two years worth of antics in the cupboard LOL oh well will make next year cheaper won't it ;)

hoping dh will go up in the attic when he's back to get our elf bits up there. i so hope its survived! be gutted if they aren't.

Might even make some mince pies this week too!

MrsG.. I'd change the liquid they are soaking in to freshen it up and use it first thing in the morning or just sling it all together while doing dinner I always find it never takes as long as I think it will.

Evening ! ( can't bring myself to say good) :(

You know when you get a new medication and the doctor says it has the averse effect on one in 1000 people so don't worry. Well dd was the 1.

She has been having trouble with her monthlies. They have been heavy and lasting 2 weeks, so the doctor put her on the pill to try and regulate them. This was on Monday.

This morning at work she phones me from school crying. She is in a toilet cubical and is in such a mess she can't get out if it. I rang the medical room and informed them and they said they would go and find her and not to worry. I left work and started driving home when my mobile started ringing again. It's the school. They had rung for an ambulance.

Without going into to much detail, the hospital nurse said it was like dd had had her whole period at once.
Luckily she did not need a transfusion. She had injections every hour until 4, when the bleeding slowed down.

We are now home. I have a hot wash on trying to save dds favourite jeggings. Of all the days to wear them she choose today, bless her.
I am not holding out much hope, but am trying my best. They have had half a bottle of Ace bleach on them as well.

Sorry if that was too much detail for anybody, I just needed to tell someone.

Freespirit I hope your day went well :)

Hope your DD is ok, something similar happened to me at a swimming competition luckily I felt funny beforehand so went to the loo!

    Edited to say

Spent the day working on blog posts, a spiced orange shortbread and a pomegranate couscous recipe. The thing is, of the 15 shortbread that I made a few hrs ago, only 5 remain :D

    Xmas Saver!
Dd just asked if I could buy Robbie the John Lewis bear, hare and book. Why ? ' Because know I won't buy it for me and he's only here at the weekends, so I could borrow it during the week ! ' :rotfl:

Aww I love this! I think she deserves it after her shocking end to the week, plus it is a totally justified logic, it's what I do I buy the dog things I know mum won't buy me. :D

There is soup making going on in my house tonight it was meant to be used as a pasta sauce, but I think most people have eaten so I may just have soup and a roll, at least the sauce will be ready if people change their mind. I say sauce because I sieve what I eat as soup and the pulp goes back to the sauce caus the parents like it thick.

OMO DD will love being on Depo it's what I have for exactly the same reason and it is bliss!

Just bought our advent calendars and some stocking fillers from Thorntons, got a free stocking filler and a free box of chocs and free delivery and cashback.

Grrr now turns out parent 1 is hungry and parent 2 is being a massive drama queen over toothache, so once again I'm trying to do everything is it any wonder I never achieve the things I actually want to get done.

Love and hugs to all be back later xxx
  • Evening everyone,

Well I have just ordered 20 personalised cards for Christmas, plus 4 birthday cards (so thats me covered for birthdays until the end of January ;)) and an early Christmas gift for some relatives twin girls have arrived :D

Now I'm off into the kitchen to brave making my first ever Christmas Cake completely from scratch with no help  I've only lived in my own place since 2000 :o My mum has always made it, or I've bought one, but this year I've decided to make my own as DD has developed a taste for it.

Next step in my Christmas prep is to get DD to write her Christmas list. ;)

NICKI hope the cake turned out well
