just read amazon's Black Friday week will begin November 25th:j

The house sale *should* be finalized within the next 2 weeks after a hiccup with the buyers mortgage application [sorted now]

Ive got all my items i want from Amazon on a wish list so will do one big order once the money comes through.

    Hi all

I am creeping back in very embarrassed after all my commenting that I wouldn't fall behind again, sadly I did within a matter of weeks : (

There are two main reasons - the first is that my daughter hogs the laptop for "coursework" which potentially means a bit a coursework plus Facebook, YouTube etc, but the house laptop was her Xmas present the other year so not much I can say.

The second reason is that I have had a promotion at work. The job is a lot more full on and although technically my hours are 9 to 5, I am currently working 6.30 - 6 and I am shattered.

I am sure once I am faster with daily tasks and can delegate a bit things will be better, but for now its hard work!

On a Xmas theme, my signature is very very wrong : (

I have bought all pressies including my kids which I am pleased about but nothing at all is wrapped and my hampers aren't "assembled"

I booked the last two days of oct off for wrapping, but then had to cancel them as there are month end tasks involved in my new job and you can't ever be off at the end of the month.

I have also had to cancel 27th and 31st Dec hols off work for the same reason.

I hope are all ok and hugs to anyone that needs them xxx
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D

BBThree - you're ahead of me! Only thing I've managed to buy so far are cards (Only because I spent 4 hours on M00npig yesterday with DD ordering them all in one go) and 2 books for twins in the family. I'm giving them each a copy of "Santas coming to my house" so I want them to be able to read them before Christmas so they have to be wrapped and ready to go for the 22nd Nov when DD will be off to see that side of her family or I'd have to post them.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Hi all I'm looking for some advice. I really want to get dd who is 8 and 9 in January some sort of personalised Christmas book. I had a leaflet in mag from my adventure and I was considering the pnp one (only had free email message in the past) has anyone any experience of either please x

The only thing that is keeping me going this weekend is the fact that I know I won't be here next weekend.
Last night the stag feel off the unit. I think I must have unhooked it when I dusted earlier in the day. Luckily nobody was near it. One antler broke off but I've glued it back on.
Robbie still has a stinking cold and was up 3 times in the night because he couldn't breath.
DAS bought Robbie here in his big pram, so we have no room the kitchen at all. Even folded down it is massive.
    The lounge is a tip.
Dd is feeling better but is tired and wants to be left alone. But she won't go to bed, so I am trying to keep the snotty monster away from her.

I just keep saying - This time next week !!!!

Oh OMO nearly there, nearly there :rotfl:

OMG the John Lewis Bear and the Hare have a free App :j

Downloading at the mo. Will edit post when I have had a play. :D

ETA I love it. It's the whole story, and if you tap on an animal it moves. There are also 2 games. They are adding more games in the run up to Christmas.

Dd is asleep at the moment but she is going to be thrilled :D
  • Oh no Omo, poor stag :(
