Mrs Christmas loved your post pop on more often please you are inspiring :) xxx
Linky I've been busy sorting out the top of my wardrobe in the room of doom bedroom! It's the next room to be tackled so DS says :) bless him. I will be rid of those hideous wardrobes. Plan is not to rush anything as it upsets DH haha and sends me whirling into what my daughter so charmingly calls "an episode". I've been inspired by you so much, particularly of late. I basically need a place for everything and everything in its place. Still sorting through my craft enormous staff to donate to somewhere that'll use it. Am making good progress with that I'm glad to say :) My task for this week is to complete the craft cull.... List what I need to buy and when I intend to buy it. Wooo hooo get me :) xxx
Bunty I really do feel like I'm letting the side down with the Yankee candles! I think I've just not found one I like! I have a red one (present from last year) it's yuk. Will check its name. In B&Q bought a white tart thought would be similar to clean linen from the scented candle air freshener range but just doesn't do it for me. I am willing to be converted, will have one more try if you can recommend a scent that I may like :) xxx

  • Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy something suitable (and cheap) to put my dads food hamper in?. I haven't got a nice box in the house!. There is about 10 items i'd say going into it.

Bargain Bunny home bargains had a few bits suitable, could you pretty up a jute bag for life ? It'd be practical too after he's eaten his present. Or I did see a wooden box with satsumas in at the local market I'm sure you could charm the vendor to part with one :) xxx

Nanamia, I think that clean cotton and fluffy towels are two of the nicest fragrances. I'm not overly keen on anything too fruity smelling and those are lovely and quite subtle.

  • Hi all this is my first year with Movies 24 turning into Christmas 24 - very exciting. I've watched two films this morning and set up another 3 to record this afternoon and evening, not very good for all the chores I wanted to do today! :xmassmile

managed to get some smellies that ds likes in the tesco 1/2 price gift offer worked out cheaper than buying individually but tbh hardly anything left on the shelves, the offer is meant to be on till the 24th so hopefully will be able to get a few other bits I'd like another day.
didnt manage to get to boots point event this wk & the stuff I wanted wasn't in stock online typically but have had a invite to the next one 13th/14th nov so hopefully will be able to finish off those bits then.

nanamia don't be so hard on yourself you've been really busy lately. I've done nothing but the bare minimum this wk unless you count sitting on the sofa watching tv :o ok no-ones been that well but even so I've been mega lazy and def gotta make up for it this wk
bargainbunny I've made hampers before and just used whatever boxes I've had around and covered them with xmas wrap.

Oh- I love it. Very tempted.

Bargainbunny I have used boxes that hold 6 bottles of wine in Lidl quite a few times. I get a couple and use them to hold shopping in the trolley. Cut the front down a bit so its lower than the back then wrap on nice paper. (Each type of wine has a different box so I pick a couple of the stronger ones then choose the best when I'm home.

Nanamia I love reading everyone's posts on here but I'm always amazed how you take the time to give such thoughtful responses. Such a generous spirit you are :-)

  • If anyone is buying a bike for Xmas, then Poundland have bike gift wrap bags to wrap the bike up in! (I think it is basically a big xmas themed bag) but looks like a good idea.

I ordered this book from Amazon a few weeks ago and finally had a chance to have a quick look today and am very pleased with it:

    Link:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Santa-Coming-Chesterfield-Hometown-World/dp/1849934355/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383474188&sr=8-1&keywords=santa+is+coming+to+chesterfield

There are loads of different towns / cities to chose from. I thought that the front page might just say Chesterfield, but it mentions lots of different areas in Chesterfield.

    Zippy x

Ooh your not far from me! We are classed as Mansfield but they don't do one of those books for us :(
