We just have lots of rain.. and I have opticians with the girls at 11 so can't hide in the house in my pjs.. if it was just Squeak going I'd send OH but Moomin isn't his so he can't sign for her so I have to go.

I just ordered bits to make cards with the littlies so that will hopefully be here soon I also got a few bits for the older girls to do. I should have ordered it last week to do while it is raining all this week! What is the Hobbycraft delivery like? Do they take forever?

Run of my trotters until Friday afternoon at least.. don't think much wrapping will be getting done this week!.. I still haven't sorted it into the correct boxes.. each child has a box of their own so I don't have to spend hours sorting it into bags on Christmas eve!

I think my delivery from them ( stag heads :o ) took about a week. x

Murie don't worry if she doesn't get bham and goes off the others she can still reject offers and go through clearing. Also aaa she gets aab you phone em and they may still say yes :) .

We seem to have missed the storm here no rain or winds over night was a bit windy yest but no more so than usual I'm a little disappointed I love a good storm

Pixitotts- yes she can go through clearing but there are only 20 places at Bham on this course so its very very narrow (plus being a Russell group uni she's going to be up against the cream) As I said I don't doubt she will get the grades when the time comes (shes doing 4 A's so she has a little bit of leeway, its just what happens if she doesn't. She's not keen (neither am I ) on the other Unis but at the same time she's not willing to compromise on the course (I wouldn't either tbh at her age). Oh well.............

Glad you missed the storm (we have too I think) xxx

  • didn't manage to complete last weeks tasks but am off work with yet more pregnancy complications so hoping to get a good bit done

    this weeks tasks hopefully
    write xmas cards
start wrapping gifts for the family we wont see on xmas day
finish buying for our eldest daughter
  • We've only had our power back on for 20 mins yay for hot coffee
  • Clinton cards have 25% off 2 x yankee - Fireside treats, and Vanilla Chai. Treated myself to one of each votive - just to tide me over until my qvc delivery.

Hope everyone is safe, and hasn't sustained any major damage. We were put on amber warning but luckily got nothing more than a few showers and mild winds!

My youngest fluffy finally has earrings! She was so brave and didn't even cry. I think it helped that the lady was so lovely and efficient!
Dd cant stop looking at herself, bless! Even the lady said it was so rare to have a child so determined to have them done, usually its the parents choice! P'ah! With my stubborn little lady I don't have a cat in hells chance of making such decisions for her!

We did have a brief look round, picked up Halloween costumes, and "oohed" at the wide selection of christmas jumpers in primark, they have some really sweet childrens ones in. We have decided not to bother this year, the £40+ to kit us all out will be much better spent at christmas markets etc lol!

Not much to report otherwise, everywhere is full of halloween stuff still. I am going to have another trip at the end of the week (on my own) so can have a better look round then!

Just braved it to Lidls and got 2 stag doormats. Now home with my leg up. My jeans kept rubbing the cut, but I was determined to get them.
It helped that our Aldi is only a week old so it was very quiet in there.

The local news has just reported that our pier has lost it helter skelter.

    pinklady take it easy
    ameyturtle enjoy your coffee
murie its so hard esp when they have their heart set on a particular course like you say its not that you doubt they'll get the grades but that so many people so few places they need a back up
better to have more options and turn them down then none at all

not sure whats up with my link as its showing both on my page but not on the post but there is a matching jumper too
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
