    Kevin x

  • QVC yankee deal ordered! I really shouldnt have, but even with p&p its amazing value and works out just £1.50 each! I cant wait to try gingerbread - I have searched every where for it but has always been so so expensive!
Now I am going to curtain twitching and waiting for delivery! I can not believe that I can get so bloomin excited over candles!

For anyone not wanting to splash out on the qvc offer, clintons have a pack of 5 christmas scent votives for £6.99, also makes them just £1.50 each.

Off into town tomorrow for a look round, its inset day for youngest so hoping to get her ears pierced for her. I have told her how much it hurts, even made her watch a clip on you tube where the girl sobs, but she is still determined she wants them done and will "be brave"! At least I know its not a whim, and I'm sure she will look even more beautiful, I just hate to see them grow up so fast!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • Hey everyone. Hope all those in the red zone have a quiet night. :)

I spent the evening finally squishing my pamper hamper stuff into a box. It isn't quite how I pictured it originally, but I think it looks alright and hopefully he will like it. I wrapped the "main" elements inside the box too, so he doesn't see everything when he first opens the box, and I've used my ducky gift tags to write witty clues about the contents and stuck those on the five or so things that are wrapped. Might get some ribbons etc next time I have a bit of money to spare but for now I am happy enough with it. :)

I normally leave my gift wrapping until December, but had no where to hide it - so at least he cannot see the contents anymore. I had my headphones on and Christmas music playing throughout though, so I felt very Christmassy. :)
  • Bit rough outside think at least one fence panel has gone for a fly ...just hope all the very large trees in neighbouring gardens stay up.

  • Gusts of 93.15mph have already been recorded at the Needles on the Isle of Wight, according to the MeteoGroup.

I'm just along the mainland from there and can vouch for that. Also my silly DS has just text to say he has just got into work but really shouldn't of ridden his BICYCLE!! He works right on the harbour, stupid boy

Dear Choccy-moose, thank you for your explanation of geowhatsis. Unfortunately my computer must have scrambled the message as I am still no wiser!!! (nothing to do with my advancing years and intimate acquaintance with techno-imbecility).
This hour has been a mixed blessing, as I seem to have been awake ages and have emptied the dishwasher cleaned the hob, drunk coffee and had a shower, read yesterdays paper and made my list for the week ahead, its only half past six, and dark outside.
This weeks tasks, 1) finish sewing wooden figures on advent calendars and write numbers of days on them. 2) Wrap fave cous families presents. 3)waste hours looking for a pink party dress for DGD in size7

Woke at 5 but managed to get back to sleep. Just watched the news and apparently we haven't had the worse of it yet, it's still on its way here.
I must say it has stopped raining and the sky is blue with little white clouds. The clouds are moving rather quickly though.

I think I will go into work late today. My afternoon job phoned me on Saturday and said not to go if it was too windy. I have to drive over open marsh land, which is not good in light wind.

Oh the wind has picked up suddenly. really don't think we have seen the worse yet.
